You have once again hit the nail on the head!! Spot on.. One of the reasons I love TLB.. No unnecessary extra evil stereotypical bad guy.. They characters are more humane and that much more real.. That is why other dramas just fail to appeal now..

Yep.. I started softening my stance towards She'er when he saved A'Sun from Great Khans wrath by not incriminating him after A'Suns mothers death.. By the end of the show I put She'er as the second ML even before HD because I feel in terms of the help provided She'er did much more for the MC's LC and AS..

Ha ha exactly what I am going through now.. Cant seem to find a show good enough to watch..

Nicely put! You perfectly articulated the three disappointments a viewer will feel with these scenes.. Alas! a lost opportunity.. Maybe you can write a fanfic about it! Coz you did a smashing job with the previous fanfic!

Yes I agree.. Sort of diluted the intense battle scenes and deflated the viewers experience.. Like that scene where the river water is released and the bear division is submerged - because as a viewer I was repulsed by the Bear division head and wanted to see him defeated I felt let down when the comic effect came in and we dint see the real defeat of the ghastly bear division chief and his subordinates..

I absolutely loved that scene too! Like Linh I too fell in love with Leo and A'Sun after this.. Another scene I think Leo absolutely nailed with his micro-expressions is the one where Li Changge refuses to go with him after he won her in the duel with She'er and the way he tilts his head and gives that pained smile (it is the first scene of the ending credits song).. Ooooff I am in awe of this guy!

I absolutely agree.. One of the things I abhor in shows are the misunderstandings.. One of the reasons I have dropped many a shows..
That is why I love TLB.. The misunderstandings are not dragged; they are dealt with quickly and in a logical manner.. The audience is not left in agony or with a bitter taste in the mouth..

I read the whole chain and wonderful analysis once again. I agree with you.. A'Sun's fight scene with She'er was the highlight and couldn't possibly be beaten by any other scene.. Tbh I was not that much into HD and She'er scene coz of the whole melodrama before the fight which fizzled out my mood.. The only thing that made me smile in that melodrama was AS's strong refusal of fighting (he is just too cute!)..

Yes! In this day and age of 'immediate consumption' and 'instant gratification' - what GeSun showed us is a love of the ages.. A guy who is not a chauvinist, gives space, is not threatened by his wife, supports her unwaveringly, trusts her, appreciates her, is not ashamed that in some ways she is better than him, loves her deeply, is ready to die for her, fights for their love.. I can go on and on about AS.
Now about LC - she is loyal to AS, will do everything to protect him, puts his safety over hers, will fight for their love, respects his stance, doesn't force her will or wishes on him, gives him space.. Again I can go on and on..

So yes you're right they are a role model even in present times..

Wow! Whoa! Brilliant observation.. Now that you've written it; I realise that I was absolutely immersed in the drama because of the martial arts as well, not just the story and characters..
TLB is truly a masterpiece and you my friend have opened my eyes to this aspect of TLB when I pretty much thought I knew everything!

If you look at it this way - what they have shown quite clearly is a love between AS and LC which is not easy to obtain, difficult to maintain in the start, beautiful once its begun and devastating to lose.. The kind of love we dream of, the kind of love on which sagas can be written.. They persevered and fought for their love, making it all the more precious.. They were with each other through thick and thin.. Now against this backdrop of love, devotion, bond, feelings, trust and togetherness a kiss in my opinion becomes just a superficial thing - a tick mark to show look they are together.. While we will welcome it if its there, it does not take away the journey of romance we went through with AS and LC..

Its not just you and me.. Its a lot of people who have felt their love and are shipping it.. Is it any wonder that GeSun is winning fan based competitions even months after it finished airing? This is the impact which a beautiful love will have, otherwise a run-of-the-mill, standard, cookie-cutter, kiss heavy CP would have won instead of GeSun..

Yes I did read that a lot of young actors and actresses are open for kiss scenes and that's totally fine and up to them.. But I mentioned wrt to LeiLei coz I think its something to do with him being in the industry since he was a child and having the title of nations little brother.. Again this is all speculation - just some 'melon' I read in one of the fan accounts..
Again its all conjecture..

But I actually don't mind that there is no kiss scene.. Coz for me their chemistry was really great and they delivered their romance pretty well..

Yeah.. Hopefully once in a while the old timers do drop in and we can have a pleasant chat.. :) About TLB ofcourse!
