loved her on Fighter of the Destiny lol

so I'm watching this and.. what is wrong with the FL's makeup??? I don't know what it is, but I usually think she is beautiful.. but this time, they did something wrong.. and I can't quite decide what it is..

anyways, I still like the drama.. except the Emperor character.. and the ML is great! He also has good fight acting skills, wow!

..actually, now I noticed the 2nd ML's makeup is off a bit also.. I guess the makeup person isn't as good this time.. I only noticed the 2nd ML's makeup when he was outside in a scene..

..so maybe it's the sun that is part of the problem?

lol I can't even watch this cuz I just watched goodbye my princess, and his character is such a psycho in it that I can't move forward yet

I'm not fond of her either.. seems overhyped due to just being in well-scripted parts in an already good drama.. and anyone comes out good in that situation.. so I'm not impressed.
but I may watch it for the 2nd leads or look for the 2nd leads' scenes, they look interesting :)

how do ppl watch this and get through it? I'm just on the first episodes and every one of these characters are lying to the FL.. especially the ML.. the biggest liar of them all.. just to murder her family..

I'm trying to get through it.. I really am.. but after I saw her teacher introduce her to the ML(fifth prince) on the bridge.. and know what they are up to..

and he pretends he is a tea plantation owner.. and smiles all nicely.. to win her over and kill her people.. god, it makes me feel so disgusted.. revolting.. gag-worthy.. something of that nature.

The gu family getting killed it worthy of revenge, sure.. but the danchi people didn't kill them.
For all the intelligence they seem to think they have.. to kill innocent people on the road to avenge the killing of innocent people.. seems a bit strange, right?

I only feel disgust for the fifth prince and the teacher now.. no matter how pretty and handsome they are.. :/

..and I just realized that Princess Ming Yuan and Chai Mu are the ones that started the whole issue, even though it's not supposed to look like they did.. a quiet manipulative woman.. :(
It seems like she doesn't actually love the Emperor, and instead was waiting for the chance to use his love for this revenge of the Gu family silliness, that will bring ruin to many innocent people.

and on the trip to the khan's tent, they are still playing her for a fool..
..messing with a young naive girl like they are doing..
its like how someone would lure a child with candy into a van..
that's how the ML and her teacher are.. nefarious villainous types..
the kind of characters you don't expect to be the ML.. I almost can't believe what I'm seeing.

worst part is that you can see the fifth prince is having fun messing with her on the way to kill her family

I'm trying to give it a chance today, and ignore the ending.. but the ML is already not very likeable at first.. attacks her when he wakes up.. and later doesn't even say thanks for her helping him.. and I know what he is about to do in the next few episodes.. it's difficult to start this one :(

I guess the way ppl watch this one is only for after they 'forget' and the next part begins.. is that it maybe?

..on a different note, this really shows the FL can act well again, because I know it's the same person, but if I just watch her.. it seems like someone else, so she's really good! :O

I just have problems with the ending of Goodbye My Princess. Ive heard of it so I never watched it.. It's sad, cuz I REALLY am amazed by a lot the acting in this drama(all the characters seem so well played out). The FL is so expressive and I wished to see her in another drama as FL with a good ML.. but the main one turns out to be the story of a man that kills her family and then marries her.. :(

wow, I was thinking there was too much to wrap up.. and I didn't even read the book.. it just feels that way.. I guess it will be a VERY rushed end.. it's sad cuz i have loved this drama a lot all the way through.

yes her eyes feel very expressive in emotion, I never saw her in a drama before.. and she does so well that I loved the character very much.. but I loved a lot of other characters in this drama also.. they did very well!

I agree 1000%..
at the end of all the episodes, I'm sometimes emotionally worn out..
..even if I loved the drama..
after all the 'push and pull' , 'ups and downs', and sometimes, even the main leads barely surviving in some situations..

..so a dark ending.. is too much for me after all that.

I do know it can be a good story ending that way, but I REALLY would rather not go 50-70 episodes and then see that..

I really love this drama! so many good actors and actresses! and even though I'm supposed to hate the emperor.. I hate and love the character, and the reason is the actor is really good :)

This is the first drama I've seen the FL in and she is really great. I've seen the ML before, so I knew he would be really good.. and he is! They scenes when they are alone are so cute..

The second leads are interesting, Lu Yunqi with his desperate obsession towards things he can't have and Ning Yunzhao with his pure feeling of admiration and belief in the FL.

Every character has been acted out well.. I'm really liking it! The pacing is a little slower at times, but it didn't change my opinion. Except for some silly writing or directing a few times, it seems mostly well scripted.

Damn, this girl has talent..

if you see her in 'Love a Lifetime', and then see her in 'Legend of the Two Sisters in the Chaos'.. you probably won't even know that it is the same person!

I loved her in both and I didn't even realize it was the same person. That's how different she portrays the characters.. it's definitely not makeup or wardrobe. Simply amazing!

well I agree on one thing.. Angelababy's acting is bad.. but they are a lot of beautiful actresses of China.. Angelababy doesn't really stand out in the list that much

Rong Xia character is frustrating to watch.. supposedly very smart.. and seems like he is.. but times like when he goes to search the princess royal's home(not a spoiler, cuz if you won't know at all what I'm referring to if you aren't caught up in the story).. he changes into a revengeful person that seems like he will blindly destroy all relationships.. including the FL an his own..

plus he is very untrustworthy and fickle/flaky..

I've see a rough start in some dramas, but this tops it by a lot.. he is getting to the point of being unredeemable, unless we just casually forget the episodes before they really are seriously together without the two-faced lying in the background..

if I explain anymore it will be real spoilers, so I can't.. but I think ppl in the comment section are ignoring every bad thing he is doing.. I'm seriously wanting this to get better, cuz the cast are all people I like :/

Thanks and I already know all of this. I just don't understand why people like her so much. There are other actresses who are more talented and beautiful and not as hyped.
And regarding her having her own studio, most senior actors do and she gets help from professionals so not sure all the credit goes to her.
I personally never watched a drama because of her and have always appreciated her male leads not because of her. She is the product of pure media play. "

I've heard this kind of commentary before.. it's usually from a person trying to put western film acting and slap it into asian film acting.. thinking, actors should show more expressions.. well they do.. IF you look at their eyes more.. eastern actors convey SO MUCH more emotion in their eyes than western actors.. and I've noticed in the comments of certain movies/dramas.. western ppl don't look for it, and, so of course, they don't see it.. to see how well an eastern actor/actress is.. look for all the small things they do in a scene and then you will know.. and you will also be blow-away by it when you realize. :)

I love most of Yang Mi's dramas.. although do think that she should be challenged more or try to use her skills for acting in more ways.. (I didn't enjoy negotiator 2, but I loved the first one) She still is one of my top picks in Chinese actresses, no matter what type of drama or movie.
..but especially when she plays in Wuxia, I do absolutely love watching her.. :D

This is really great, and here I thought it wouldn't be.. It was only because of the slower first 2 episodes, and then it really picked up the suspense and pace!

And I'm becoming a big fan of Kim Se Jung's acting! I've watched the other main actors in other dramas and I already liked them, but I didn't watch Kim Se Jung in a drama before this..
she comes off with a very natural feeling in her acting
..Park Ji Yeon is good for her role, but it seems like she needs more different roles to try, but the way she expresses emotion seems to fit the 'rich arrogant type' role pretty well..

Yeon Woo Jin and Song Jae Rim are very good here too.. especially Song Jae Rim as Nam Joo Wan.. he looks good(like the sexy bad guy) and really has a sinister vibe during certain parts

I'm really in love with this drama at the moment <3
