If you are referring to "Red Wall, White Snow", that scene occurred at 1/4 point of the full novel. if you read…
Well to be fair, I've only read around half or a little more so far.. but I'm only a bit bothered by the directors and screenwriters changing things.. It's happening in Legend of Fu Yao right now even.. and they changed things they didn't need to change so it's very frustrating.. When they change it like they did in Fu Yao, it takes away some of the sharpness of the MC's personality in favor of romance(or possibly for reasons) I still like Fu Yao, but she isn't as amazing as she should be(like in the book)
because of that, I saw this trailer and was worried they were doing the same here.. but I see what you mean now
Well after watching the trailer (in a comment by Erudite), it looks like they changed his character personality.. unless he is being fake(this is something he does a lot in the book to get what he wants)
He is VERY self-centered and extremely confident(but not to the point of stupidity, like some people).. He doesn't care about females(except SangSang, but there is a reason for that..)
This may change later, but I haven't read it all yet..
A lot of stuff didn't happen in the book, so it's not surprising that it's a little draggy at parts.. The book kept you on your toes.. BUT! It's still going pretty well so far!
It does make me sad they changed so many things.. like over-using the Pei Yuan bitch routine, and having her fight Yan Jing Chen.. also, in the book her character's personality is more merciless(This is the only point they changed that actually bothers me)
You can tell how Fu Yao fits in the script that Yang Mi isn't misinterpreting the character.. it's the Director or Screenwriter's fault.. I just want to know why.. unless, they are trying to do character growth to that point, so that it makes more sense why she is merciless..
Anyway, I LOVE the cast.. and the story is still pretty great, and as long as they don't really change something major it will be okay lol
and I will watch it to the end, hopefully no cliffhanger ending ;) (After Princess Agents, I get scared of that.. :/ )
This drama is so good. Loving Yang Mi and Ethan here. Vengo is so manly in this show.
Yes, he has turned into a pretty good actor.. I'm impressed because I saw a drama he played in when he couldn't act well yet. I'm happy he is improving so much!
The female lead doesn't "look " old necessarily, but she has an older feel ..(It might even just be the way she portrays the character, idk) while the male lead looks young and also has a young feel.. I think this wasn't the intention of the scriptwriter, so it makes it seems strange to me.
Journey of a flower.. the drama that got me into chinese dramas
It's so emotional, and the end.. not the 'amnesia end', but the part before, when she was lying in the grass meadow and was speaking to him.. after all the trials they went through, he didn't seem to understand until that moment.. She and Wallace Huo are such great actors

lol no seriously, I want to know if she is a real witch or just has a witch personality.. whatever that means..

Anyway, I hope I'm wrong :/

I have a feeling someone confuses Meng Fu Yao into thinking Zhang Sun Wu Ji wants to sacrifice her.. plenty of villains in this drama lol
..especially Liu Yi Jun, he acts so well that the hate you feel for his villain characters always comes so easily
..but the book supposedly has a good ending, so there is that
