There are some people who are downrating this drama bcoz du cheng has less screen time as compared to shen yi. But shen yi has always been the main character followed by du cheng, it's not a simple cops drama where police finds evidences and throw the criminals in prison. It has a psychological aspect (main element of this drama) too which delves deeper into human minds and emotions and this particular thing is portrayed through shen yi's sketches.

People just want it to be a copycat of season 1. If it was so then they would have complained about how they didn't show anything new and copy pasted season 1. Now that they are getting to something different, cases are more highlighted towards grey shaded characters rather than black and white, it's exploring deeper human emotions, what else do they want? If they just want something on a superficial level then there are other dramas out there, go and watch those.
Also about the relationship between shen yi and du cheng...you are absolutely right about it. So far I have been enjoying this drama as much as I enjoyed season 1 ❤️

I haven't watched dashing youth but I have watched blood of youth and it was really really awesome and very closely followed donghua, even the costumes and OST etc were same, that's also the reason why people loved it. True if this director had worked on the land of warriors,it would have been different. The current TLOW is closely following donghua but not as close as blood of youth was following it's donghua

They tried so much to persuade him to change it another but he didn't bcoz he was getting sponsorship sort of thing...even wanted to put toilet 🚽 advertisement on their dress bcoz they were paying him good 😂😂😂
