Yes... I first saw XZ in the Untamed, just the poster made me like him and after watching the drama I became his fan. I started searching for more of his costume dramas and I really liked his portrayal of Yan bingyun, it was different and although it was kind of guest role but it had a strong presence.
Season 2 yan bingyun is ok, I couldn't feel the importance of his character, maybe bcoz XZ as yan bingyun already left a deep impression on me that new yan bingyun paled in comparison.

Me too, waiting badly for season 3, I hope they don't take another 5 years to release it and release it soon 🤞🏻

I Haven't yet watched TSOPG but I am watching Under the skin 2 , she had a guest role (2-3 epi) Ao li from ep 14 . Her acting was mind blowing, made her instantly likeable just from her guest role ❤️

I actually did the same. After watching DC I was curious as to what will happen further so I ended up watching the entire donghua till wherever the episodes were released 😂

And also dai mu bai. He was great in 'the Starry Love '. He chemistry with female lead was awesome and his acting too was good. But his acting in this series felt a little weaker than that of the Starry Love. I expected more from him. He will definitely improve, afterall he hasn't got many chances to act.

If they plan on making season 3, it will easily take 2-3. Years and this is the minimum. Looking at how low it's rated in China, probability is less, but can't say anything.

I hope for the final season director from The blood of Youth takes over the project. The Blood of Youth was so similar to Donghua. It was spectacular.

Oh also, besides zhang yuxi I liked Qian ren xue actress too. But I feel her character was shown weaker than it should have been. I saw her in story of kunning palace, she was good there too.

Yeah..you are right. They are young, they need more time and experience to brush up their skills. They have that potential. That's why I liked this Xiao Wu too. She is an experienced actress and has delivered some good projects like Love and Redemption.

I didn't drop it bcoz the cast is changed. In fact I was very much looking forward to it as I like the story. However I liked acting of DC's actors more than TLOW 's . The only actor which I liked (acting wise) in TLOW is Xiao Wu.

People are just expressing their opinion, everyone has that right. Also TLOW is not the Only drama which is getting mixed reviews. There are many dramas out there which get mixed reviews, some top notch dramas even get unnecessary hate comments bcoz those particular people don't like the leads or similar stupid reasons. What then? Should all those users be blocked??😂😂

Imo, storywise season 2 is better as it's more closer to original but acting wise season 1 is better. But overall Donghua is far superior to both of them.

Since you haven't watched donghua and DC season 1, you will definitely like this season 2. I watched DC first and liked it, especially their acting, followed by Donghua which is top notch. I watched clips of TLOW and (my personal choice) I didn't like it much. Xiao Zhan as Tang San was far better than ZYR. ZYR needs to work on his micro expressions. Just like Cheng Xiao was ridiculed for her acting but look at her in Fangs of Fortune, she put efforts and has greatly improved. Similarly I believe ZRY has that potential to improve.

Donghua is far better than both the adaptations.

Acting wise I liked DC more than TLOW although it's story was way different from original (I watched DC followed by Donghua so I liked DC, but story of TLOW is more similar to original).
But I am saying it again, donghua is far far better than both the adaptations.

I must say Edward Guo choice of actors/actresses for his drama is awesome 👌. Also his dramas are awesome which makes us keep looking forward to them❤️
