I suspected LYX took FYH because 🥝 agreed to buy Fire Turner and another costume drama from ZSTC. I saw the poster of Fire turner a couple months ago wt Qiyi logo. ZSTC has announced it bfr. I don't know the story or the casting for both.

FL in the novel 26.

This is predictable: Liu Yan changed from dark to white. TLZ from grey to white. The only way to air in China.

Actually Liu Yan is a character that demands good acting and should be 2nd lead. Also need good chemistry wt LYX as well.

For me it’s pretty sad for those supporting actor who can act well and doesn’t get to go up bcs their team is weak and we get many actors fr capital agency wt mediocre acting as Leads. I think those support actor deserving ML/FL roles are for ex: F villain in MLC and Cheng Lei dr MYTU. Based on acting. While I’m happy that ZSN got her S grade FL, she did fine as supporting actress I really doubt she can carry FL roles, too early, she should hone her acting skill
more.

I have faith in Otter and LYX himself and his interpretations. In reality LYX will have tons to say in this drama incl the script, he is interested in this novel exactly bcs of the complexity of TLZ. TTJ has been tone down but still intense. Moran fr HYX is still v intense too. I’m satisfied wt the changes of TTJ fr novel to drama.
I’m confident TLZ won’t be white wash too much fr HYX and Ttoetm experience. This is not something I worry abt in this drama at all. I’m more worry if important support actor can not act.

Imo TLC doesn’t love anyone except Liu Yan. The novel is def heavier in bromance and not BG love. His “interest” for Feng2 mom is rather an unhealthy obsession resulting fr his upbringing and not love at all. TLZ doesn’t understand love. Many things will change but I have faith in their production. If the can adapt HYX then adapting this novel is much easier.

Chen Zhoufei is the celebrated, various award winning, multiple Oscar nominated director Zhang Yi Mou protégé.

They both started from the field of photography before transforming as director.
ZYM first ever TV drama as producer “First Shot” filming started in 2023 hired CZF as the director. Being a director in ZYM own TV drama speaks of his capabilities. Most of his career is spent on Movie production and not on drama.
He has many years of cooperation experience with ZYM, and has participated in the photography of many films directed by ZYM and other powerful director, He has also directed sev movies himself.
He said the different lenses between drama and movie:
