Agree wt you 100%. All excuses, as far as I know this only in China. Started in HKG because it is cheaper and faster, but then actors got lazy, filmed and go make more $ in VS or another drama without dubbing their own role. In the past was worst, they only recite 1-2-3-4-5.
With the new reg, these idol actors need to spend time learning dubbing. But next year will be filled wt bad dubbing from these half actors.
I would watch if actors used their own voices.:( pity 😤
We will see more actors using original voice due to new C reg: Actor must pay VA fees if they are unwilling to dub or producer think their voices not good enough (bfr it is producer who paid). But that comes with double traps as most C actors did not spend time to learn dubbing properly esp for Costume. Here ML is his own voice, and LYX not only amazing in his dubbing skill but also his voice is beautiful and magnetic

Let's add Source of All Evil the Demon God. 4 characters in total, different personalities. It’s like playing 4 different dramas. LYX fits TTJ book description and who else in C ent can act this really complex 4 characters interchangeably, smoothly, convincingly. And again in term of dubbing he has to switch his voice for each character. The different voices between CJM and Demon king is vast. How many can act this without the help of voice actor? In C ent, imo only 1 other actor who has the ability to play TTJ, but he only acts in movie now.

Then don’t watch. Especially this drama was customized for this actor. He signed the drama bfr the Novel (script of course also not finished) was completed, as soon as producer bought the IP. In fact producer looking for LYX because TTJ is very difficult to portray and LYX has amazing acting skill. And please all good acting always pairs with excellent original lines too. If needs dubbing, that’s half actor, half credit goes to voice actor, no need to blow acting skill.

Age diff between actors same as between characters too. SO THAT'S IT. it has nothing to do wt younger pp or BL fans don't mind the age gap. It's abt producer looking for the perfect casting for this drama and they want to be as close as it mentioned in the Novel.
LYX was 32 same as CWN when he filmed. Same zodiac Leo, same slender waist, tall strong but slender leg, even same ear mole. Beautiful aloof face same as Cwn. In fact novel fans think no one can portrays CWN except for LYX.
CFY has the same Birthday as Moran, same height too.
Chemistry, Lyx although 30+ he is like a big kid when he is not filming (hobby: Play Games, Collecting Games characters). CFY matures beyond his age. They happened to have explosive chemistry, I say way beyond CFY chemistry in L&P.
These 2 actors were casted because they r perfect for the characters, esp LYX. It took producers months to convince him to play and another 9 months waiting till he finished his other filming.

I love STOTD, have not finish yet, but this is one of the best costume I watched this year. One with full plot and not much love story. But I don't feel the bromance here haha....
Drama version CWN is much cuter, MR is more annoying....it has to do with because they can't show time travel.
It's still there right, one world has Cwn, Mr, SM another one has TXJ, HBN, CWN-already dead. So HBN and TXJ can go back and forth between 2 worlds through the sky cracks.
