Idk what everyone was talking about till now but episode 4 confused me so much with its pacing and structure š…

For me the introduction of the FL best friend, Eun Sil, was well thought out, It shows Eun Sil as a complete opposite as the FL. We know the FL is quiet and withdrawn from society whereas Eun Sil is outspoken and loud, look at how she was acting with her superior when she wanted to make a youth travel documentary.

Also puzzled about Jung Hyeok, maybe his past has something to do with it, which is still to be revealed. The girl he helped seemed to want only him to be his protective detail which I found odd. Also seems like the girl tried to take her own life which is sad but also confusing.
Itās possible sheās in an abusive relationship? Or an ex partner coming back as another detective asked and she replied yes then changed the answer.
Hope to see more of his story soon though heās an interesting character and this is the first drama I have seen of Jae Hyeok but heās a good actor I believe.

The ML quits for the reason you said. He says he wants to make a map of all the incidents where the FL has been involved or where the incidents involve people who she knows / has spoken to.
In episode 4 they only shows the ML returning to see one of his friends. From the looks of it he will visit / gather old classmates and ask them their stories and experiences in order to gather information.
The episode 5 preview shows all of this by the way. Wish some of it was in episode 4 though but I enjoy the wait for next Saturday.

The stalking is 50/50 to me. Itās odd but also got a good reason. Trying to help someone he likes reintegrate back into society so she can actually live her life to its fullest potential.
The mail box incident was odd. Have a feeling the answer to the mystery isnāt going to be found in her bills.
Renting a place near her I found to be ok as he wants to be close to her. If he approached her and confesses heād die so it makes sense to not talk to her.
The stalking during the night was the weirdest to me but he heard the monologue she said (to the cat) and it probably motivated him more.
The ML is doing a wonderful job portraying his emotions as well as being cold towards others. The same goes with the FL and how she interacts with men, although she doesnāt seem to interact with men at all only select few women and one friend.
This is a really slow drama which I like actually, itās different to the other slow burn dramas I have seen in which we are four episodes in and the leads havenāt met yet. My main theory / guess would be that he hasnāt gone to speak to her as maybe he believes the ācurseā is real or he is just shy / scared to approach her so suddenly.
Mixed feelings on the light stalking, viewing her mail and apartment peeping. I get he wants to help her, but he could just talk to her which would help him understand and gather information to help aid his inquiries.
He also regrets not speaking to her at all during school, but now heās doing the same thing. Just looking at her from a distance and watching her live in isolation (besides her best friend).
Praying there is light to come. Maybe from the leads but hopefully from the second leads;
Kim Jung Hyeok and (Major crimes detective)
Heo Eun Sil (Mi Jeongās friend)
Hopefully those two can be a second couple and bring some light and life into this grey but enjoyable drama. The second leads seem to be the opposites of the main leads.

ML is outgoing and open SML is aloof and unsociable
Loved the first two episodes and being introduced to the different characters and their characteristics was fun.
The ML and FL have good chemistry. As a fan of older woman / younger man due to personal experiences, this might be one of my favourites depending on how the next ten episodes play out.
Also loving the FL sheās a force to be reckoned with, itās good to see a head strong female lead who isnāt saved by the ML the entire time. Only been saved once so far, which was necessary due to fact a snobby heiress at the party was harassing her and calling her a prostitute etc. ML gave a satisfying push into the pool so it was worth it. (Also have to add Moon Ga-Young might one of the most effortlessly attractive women I have seen.)
SML is a kind soul also. Always happy to help and give where he can which is sweet. Hate his GF / EX GF , how can you dump someone for being too kind to others, makes no sense unless youāre insecure and a bitch.
Asks to break up with him because he is too kind and smiles at everyone too much, so he agrees under the guise that breaking up would make her happier, then heās happy for it to happen, which is a good and valid argument, process to call him a bastard and storm out.
The SFL is also a good character and looking gorgeous I have to say. Sea food business might not be going well but sheās happy and content which is all one can ask for. Loved the scene of the role reversal fall and the internal quote of āso muscularā after touching his back. Canāt wait for their story to begin.
Seeing the complaints saying that the ML isnāt suitable to this role is a testament to his acting and baby face. HE IS SUPPOSED TO BE YOUNG AND INEXPERIENCED.
Itās clear he is young and wants to be like the typical CEO / Director:
1) Drinking multiple espresso shots like a lot of senior executives do.
2) Making voice notes on pretty much everything no matter how small it is.
3) Trying to be the domineering CEO to his employees.
4) Acting cool when in reality he is a big nerd. Aka the scene with the limited edition space figurine.
5) Pushing the FL up against the wall to assert dominance (only to be called a pervert)
Other than the complaints about the ML itās been fantastic so far.
Really looking forward to hear more about the ML back story with all of the deaths and why his grandma treats him with distain and no love and and others with respect and kindness.
