Title My Sister, My Love Spoiler
I like to think there are some metaphors or symbolism to the piggyback scene at the end. My english is not good…
Yep, their childhood place was not like how it used to be anymore, just like their relationship. At first I thought so too. It was like they buried their relationship in that ground forever. But I guess something about the ending made me change my mind on that (I rewatched it months ago, I can't recall the details sorry). It just felt like they didn't give up yet.
I never watched the anime actually, I don't really want to know how their relationship will turn out in the future because their relationship makes me feel like no matter how they try to split up, they'll just end up together again (if that makes any sense) so I'm satisfied with the LA movie.
But do watch it again and let me know if your thought has changed :)

I can't believe that he is still working there! They try to "redeem" here? Even if they did I can't accept this.…
i recommend you watch the 2003 version and judge for yourself. I'll try not to spoil much about it here but yeah you can say that he tried to 'redeem' in the 2003 one but it wasn't really the try-to-be-a-good-person 'redeem' but more like he let his guilt eat him up through out the years. Personally i think the 2003 one gave a good closure to what was left opened in the 1993 one.

Loved this drama from beginning to end. Very well done. Everything about it screams ‘summer’ and ‘slice if life’ lol One of my favorite details is the bean sprouts, they’re like a metaphor of Shinji and Nagi’s relationship, which i think was very clever.

The cast was all amazing. Haru and Issei did a fantastic job, like you can clearly tell whenever their smiles were fake or honest. and for real tho, Issei’s crying in this drama really broke my heart several times, i just wanted to give him a hug.

I have no problem with the ending. But i’d love it if there’s a season 2.

it's certainly not for everyone but somehow it's my cup of tea, i enjoyed it from beginning to the very last minute. everything is so excellent. you have to pay attention and link everything together to figure out what the main character is thinking and feeling, such clever storytelling. there are also plenty of metaphors here and there. and the dedication to small details is quite amazing. the beautiful cinematography is like a cherry on top. i like this drama so much that i'm willing to overlook any kind of plot hole. 9.5/10 might give it a 10 after a few re-watches.

excellent drama. very well-made and relatable. i'm really glad it gave Sakurai Yuki some attention, she's been…
Ai's phone screen showed their recent LINE messages and it was like this:

Azuki: What's for dinner?
Ai: Curry.
Azuki: Are you stupid?
Azuki: We've had it 3 days in a row.
Ai: Then go buy it (dinner) yourself.

What this means depends on however you interpret it. As for me, I think they're dating or/and living together lol.

excellent drama. very well-made and relatable. i'm really glad it gave Sakurai Yuki some attention, she's been acting since forever but keeps getting minor and supporting roles, she deserves more.

Also, for anyone that has finished the drama, here's a little hint they put in the ending when Ai was reading messages from Azuki:

i re-winded that ending 3 times and it still caught me by surprise every time. wow. and the details, omg the details! how they lead to one another and how many things seems unrelated at first but actually play significant roles in the story telling. it was so masterful. i was in awe the whole time. i have to admit i headed into this film not knowing who the director was and that was my bad, but at least i know now.

are you the user that put up the request on avistaz? i'm trying to gather more bonus points to vote up that request…
Great! I just added another 1000 points yesterday. Still trying to gather more points to vote that request up. I don’t think it’s against the rules, as long as we don’t directly ask for subs in the avistaz comments section.
