If romance is what you're looking for, then you won't find it with VDA. This drama is dark and heavy. Its plot is full of twists and turns. It's a game of cat and mouse. I love dramas like Mysterious Lotus Casebook, A Coroner's Dairy, Mobius and Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty. I am a true crime fanatic. When Deep Lurk (also starred by Cheng Yi) came out, I hesitated but decided to watch it because I needed something to keep me busy. I actually enjoyed it a lot and more than I expected. I thought I didn't like espionage dramas and here I am on a thrill chase with VDA. I'd say if you don't like it, don't watch it. But if you're opened to try out other genres, then keep watching. It might open your eyes to explore other wonderful c-genres.

Agree. I think there is a bigger conspiracy but I can't quite put my hands on it. We know about the Mysterious Man but what is his role? Who really is he? Why is he in prison? I thought they were on the same side. Why did they kill XHA's father? Too many questions still unanswered.

Agree. I think he only takes the throne so the power doesn't go to Yan Fengshan. I don't think he cares about being an Emperor.

Cheng Yi, Liu Xueyi and Liu Yunning are my top 3 favorite actors. I am learning to enjoy Chen Zheyuan and Xu Zhen Xuan.

Thank you. I am fine now after crying. I saw the trailer for episode 13 and kind of knew what was going to happen but the anticipation made me so nervous. LOL

I just started with episode 13 and pray for me. The last time I was this nervous was when I did my job interview 13 years ago.

Absolutely! It's a great watch. I finished episode 12 at 8am this morning and now it is 6pm and I still cannot shake off the emotions. That is how you know you're watching good drama.

Love him in Extremely Perilious Love but seeing him as pyscho Wang Pu in the Vendetta of An - you're amazing!

I have not seen the trailer for episode 13 but many have said they regretted watching the trailer in comments below so I am scared to watch it. LOL

Killing a person can mess up with one's psychic. Seeing him kill so easily is scary. It's crazy how he can easily kill someone now without much remorse. He reminds me of those blood thirst seriel killers.

Episode 12 is making me question his action. I found myself mad at him and wondering if his vendetta is worth all the pain. I know he suffered injustice but at the same time, he has people who love, care and sacrifice themselves for him. Dude, open your eyes! Stop your vengence!

Dang! This game of cat and mouse is going to get a lot of people dead. We're only 12 episodes in and there are already so much death and tears. Can't wait for episode 13.
