While I can understand some viewers missing Cheng Yi in the last episodes (me too) I still enjoy watching 2 episodes…
In a sense, we are Qingtong. She misses Fugui, we miss Cheng Yi. I really feel his absence and I long to see him but I get it. He needs to find himself. They both need time apart to figure out what they want. Fugui needs to discover the world for himself and she needs to become stronger without him. I think they did a great job of making the last few episodes fun. They are nice distractions. I am laughing but feel empty. The reunion is going to make it all worth the wait.
Here I am thinking, "why do I miss Cheng Yi so much?" and then it hit me..I haven't seen him much in the last few episodes. While I do enjoy the trio, I would like to see more of him. Praying he has more screen time in tomorrow's episodes (24 and 25). Been too long since I see him in romance and was praying SaB do it for me yet here I am longing for him.
Finally Done watching....for the first time ever,i loved a sad ending & a sad ending made perfect sense of…
Some said they don't like the ending but it makes sense to me with this ending. Whether he was saved at the end is up for interpretation as we only saw doctors and nursings running. He has to go back to his 'real' life. I am satisfied with this ending.
Finally finished all episodes. A little sad it is finished. Now I am back to the beginning and currently on episode 3. I realized I enjoy it so much more the 2nd time around. I was too excited the first time because I have not seen Cheng Yi in action in 2 years. I kept waiting for the big things to happen, I saw I missed the little details that makes this series good. Initially, I thought the first 5-6 episodes were slow and confusing but I realized it was because I was not paying attention to the dialogues and the clues. I now realize how much I actually miss the first 10 episodes, the humor and the innocence of youth. Got my husband hooked now since I coulnd't stop talking about it. He stopped watching a lof of wuxia because he loves the actions from the 90's. He loves State of Divinity which starred by Jackie Lui. We are both very happy to see him and Julian.
