I agree many important but smaller scenes were cut out to make sure they met the requirements but still able to tell the story seamlessly without leaving too many loopholes. I think we won't be feeling so overwhelmed by seeing one quick death after another if they have kept all of the scenes but then honestly if they didn't, the drama won't be as intense as it it. I feel like I am high on a roller coaster ride. LOL

I thought Wang Pu was ruthless but SCL is another level of pyshco.

Cai Wenzong got mentioned on episode 21 but I don't remember this character?? When or where else was he or she mentioned? Who is this person?

I agree he is not a skilled fighter as portrayed in the scenes when he used the shovel to hit fake ZM, a bowl to knock out the old shop man and a small knife to stab people.

I was so engrossed in the drama yesterday, I forgot to eat breakfast and lunch. LOL

This drama requires your full attention, patience and careful analysis as a viewer. If you don't pay attention to the details, you will miss something and feel out of place. You might have to go back to rewatch a few episodes or scenes to connect the dots. I find this drama so thrilling and engaging! I love that I am not the only person who is predicting the next plot. So thankful to have everyone talking and discussing the drama in MDL.

I don't believe he does. He may know how to defend himself but he can't fight. Dude can barely handle the old man in episode 20.

Very possible or maybe he was already king and went under cover? Based on episode 19-20, we know XHA's father was very smart. Chang'an remained strong because they had a good strategist on their side. We came to find out YFS was his father's disciple. YSF may have been the King's first pawn. YSF got used the whole time. Everyone fell right into his scheme. The uncles, aunts, Huben, etc. The King's intention was to cause internal strife and get Chang'an to kill each other off so he can take over Chang'an without dropping blood from Tiemo. From the end of episode 20, looks like his plan is about to come true unless XHA can stop him.

XHA does not have the manpower as YFS. Even if he does, he won't trust everyone. As we can see almost everywhere was infiltrated by YSF's people. XHA has few people he trusted. Amost of the people he used to carry out his plans were either through blood debt or guilty tripped. With limited manpower, he has to be very meticulious but he is human and there will be flaws. He was very careful from the beginning to ensure of his sister's safety and to protect her identity. He even had someone be their messenger. He thought she would be safe out of Chang'an. An oversight, yes but definitely not stupid.

And this whole time we've been wondering who the mysterious man was and why this guy in prison by YFS when supposedly they are on the same side! The shock!!

He went crazy there for a second but I knew he had a bigger plan. He finally got YSF under his finger at the end. Phew...

They come and go so quick but their role is so impactful and significant. I actually learned to pay closer and more attention to their names by now. LOL

I don't know. He is Mr Long's discipline so if you have watched episode 20, I am questioning his role.
