He's a spoiled rich brat good for nothing but only treated with respect because of his father but he's grown so much from the beginning to the end. He's matured and became a man at the end. I think he's very young, probably 18 or 19. The ML is married once..and with his accomplishments, I take he's in his late 20 or even 30's while both the 2nd lead and the female lead are supposed and a lot younger. I enjoy his character.

A little bit of everything. Imagine the man you served and adored your whole life as a master and father figure but to discover he killed your family and raised you and used you as a pawn. He now faced the choice of taking revenge against him for his parents, side with XHA and kill him or do nothing. He chose loyalty and killed himself instead. It's a hard place to be. Even though he is a villian, I enjoy his character.

I miss falling in love with him honestly. He is just so good with expressing emotions. I do hope he pick up some romance xianxia dramas before he retired. However, I think I can kind of see the direction he is going. He wants to be taken seriously as an actor. He works too hard and too long to just be another actor. Good looks can only get you so long until you're too old and slowly disappear from the entertainment world. Cheng Yi deserves more. He is one of the better Chinese actors out there today. He wants longevity so it's fair he tries other roles to show his depth and he is pretty capable of doing that. I can see him becoming a director one day.
Their love story kind of lost me at the end. As toxic as it is, I find Qi Min/Suiyuan Haiโs story more compelling and interesting.
