I have but still want Sifeng. 😂😅. I watched Love and Redemption several times and South Winds Know My Mood once. I tried to watch other romantice dramas but they don't hit the same. Maybe I will try SWKMM again while I wait for new episodes of VOA. Thanks for reminding me.

I love Sifeng the most and I have been searching for him in Cheng Yi's other dramas since but I can't find him anywhere. 😭😭. I thought I would find a little bit of Yu Sifeng in Wangquan Fugui but not a glance. I am happy to see Cheng Yi explore other characters and it shows he's improving, versatile and can play other roles but I would like to see him in a romantice role before he retired. Can a girl dream?

I agree. I saw a nervousness from XHA's face when they talked about that boy. I am afraid for Yang.

You ever watch him cry? Even his cries are different. I love Cheng Yi and watch almost all his dramas and I can tell you almost of all them convey different emotion even though he is "crying."

Agree. Even though Chancellor Gao was only in a few scenes, his role was significant and I am very sad to see him go. For a drama that drops people left and right, I am surprised I remember everyone's names and who they are. LOL

I feel like she is kind of biased. I never knew of Cheng Yi before. I remember when MLC came out, I happened to see her negative review first so I did not bother watching MLC. I am a big big fan of the detective investigative genre - Justice Bao, Pillowcase of Mystery, Detective Dee, Maiden Holmes, Ancient Detective, etc. My husband knew how much I love dramas like these so he decided to watch it despite the "negative" review from Avenuex. He enjoyed it so much, he couldn't stop talking about it. Out of curiousity, I decided to watch a few episodes with him. I loved it so much so I started to watch it on my own. I became a Cheng Yi fan after that. I went back to watch his old works. Discovered Yi Sifeng and became a die hard fan. I must have watched MLC at least 6 times now and I still go back to watch clips of it. Because I follow Avenuex on Youtube when I saw Cheng Yi's face on her video today, I clicked it. She did Cheng Yi and VOA bad. I have a feeling she doesn't like Cheng Yi. She always says negative things about him and his dramas. As a non Chinese speaker, I find Cheng Yi's voice incredibly sexy. I won't listen to anyone that gives a drama review by watching only 2 episodes 🙄. I realize she's too judgy.

Oh my god. The details! I thought they met and saw each other but you're right. Some time did pass. What YFS saw and said was all imagination of what XHA must have gone through.

He is one of my favorite characters in the whole series.

It's getting so intense. It's like a high. I wake up wanting more. I need my new episodes. I won't know how I'd live if they stop for a few days. LOL

Episode 14 was slow and nice. I feel it is a fresh of air after everyone just dropped dead left and right. I won't say it is a filler episode. It's like the calm before a bigger storm.

He was given a choice. Get rid of Yang Fenshan (he would be doing XHA's bidding. He is too smart to be someone else's pawn) or save himself. He chose to end himself.

If romance is what you're looking for, then you won't find it with VDA. This drama is dark and heavy. Its plot is full of twists and turns. It's a game of cat and mouse. I love dramas like Mysterious Lotus Casebook, A Coroner's Dairy, Mobius and Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty. I am a true crime fanatic. When Deep Lurk (also starred by Cheng Yi) came out, I hesitated but decided to watch it because I needed something to keep me busy. I actually enjoyed it a lot and more than I expected. I thought I didn't like espionage dramas and here I am on a thrill chase with VDA. I'd say if you don't like it, don't watch it. But if you're opened to try out other genres, then keep watching. It might open your eyes to explore other wonderful c-genres.

Agree. I think there is a bigger conspiracy but I can't quite put my hands on it. We know about the Mysterious Man but what is his role? Who really is he? Why is he in prison? I thought they were on the same side. Why did they kill XHA's father? Too many questions still unanswered.

Agree. I think he only takes the throne so the power doesn't go to Yan Fengshan. I don't think he cares about being an Emperor.
