https://youtu.be/U-SQbC_qFk8?t=104 Drama filming has almost finished! Supposed to end 02/13, bc of coronavirus complications (changing locations), predicted to end 02/15.
Update: They finished filming recently, series set to air in mid-January. Originally planned on filming in Jeju Island, but they filmed in South Jeolla. The concept rebranded into a traditional Korean guesthouse experience for foreigners (in Korea for business/school) who have not been able to enjoy the atmosphere of Korea during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Khundi Panda and Wonstein getting eliminated hits me right in the feels. At the very least, I expected Khundi Panda to lose after spoilers for Swing's featurings were released (Lee Hi and Ssam D are too strong...), but man, Wonstein. I loved all of his songs this season- my most streamed songs this month are Freak and Infrared Camera for a reason. Layone had a nice song, but it sucks because it feels like he was just carried by Kid Milli.
Ah... I'm still rooting for Lil Boi or Mushvenom to win- Layone has been too forgettable this season, and Swings winning just doesn't sit right. I'm really hoping that Lil Boi goes for a chill Zion.T/Giriboy produced song and not something like Bad News Cypher- I know he's a strong ass rapper, but his sentimental songs are soo good. I'm not a big fan Mush's solo songs this season, they're a little too out there for me, but something trendy and upbeat like VVS would be perfect.
Overall, the songs this season have been AMAZING, discography is probably up there with 777 for my favorite. Freak, VVS, Tomorrow, Infrared Camera, Roots, and Achoo are sooo great. Thing I found most lacking about this season so far was the diss battles, which were still fine. There wasn't anything iconic from previous seasons (Young B/Ness and Wonjae/Woochan from 6, Superbee/Loopy from 777, or crazy 8 ones). Swings v Skyminhyuk had so much potential, ESP with the Control beat, but him dragging Skyminhyuk around the stage ruined any potential impact.
Originally, filming was supposed to start March, but delayed to May 30th because of COVID-19. Lee Byung-hun is playing a character who has a phobia of airplanes, so I'm interested to see how his character turns out here :)
If Jung Hae-in's really casted, I'm pumped! Doesn't seem to be a romance drama then? He's like 7-8 years older than both female leads (even though he looks young as hell)
The age gap is alright, but I'm more concerned about the characters. I can picture So Joo Yeon playing a bubbly and energetic school girl, but it's hard to picture Kim Yo Han as a cold and stoic male lead. His face practically leaks funny boy next door vibes, so maybe they'll change up Jiang Chen's character a bit. The original was great, so I'm still excited to see how it goes!
The teaser has pleasing aesthetics! Looks like the drama is just my cup of tea. Park Bo-gum looks youthful as always, and Park So-dam is incredibly pretty. Since Park Bo-gum is enlisting in August, it seems like the drama is completely pre-produced. Looking forward to September!!
I know there's a season two, but I'm slightly disappointed we didn't get enough closure. Throughout the entire season, the only thing that has happened in the Ik Jun / Song Hwa / Chi Hong love triangle is the two confessing their feelings. Can Song Hwa just pick one?
Boy, i dont know. I just finished the first episode and i started it thinking it was going to be a light hearted…
Agree, I'm not a huge fan of those types of corporate dramas (like Misaeng even), but this one the satisfaction comes quick. Like synopsis says, main lead leaves company and becomes rich and successful while higher up is struggling.
For sure, I don't think there's any doubt. I'd predict that Kim Hee Ae wins Daesang, and another actress (GHJ…
It's not completely unlikely though, considering Kim Hee Ae has already won two Daesangs from Baeksang. She could win her third this year :) Stove League Best Drama would be a wet dream tho. Legit best drama of the year. I have 0 hope because I cannot jinx it (but NGM best actor maye)
