This is super exciting news for me!I love the novel, the anime was okay, never read the manhua. 80 Episodes, sounds interesting, with a solid cast. It's amazing though, how popular web novels have become in China. I know there are a lot of TKA fans in China, and I've even personally been to the McDonald's place in Hangzhou, and there are a lot of diehard fans. Love how the web novels are being adapted into more content (anime, drama)! Especially since the cast seems decent. And Desolate Era got a drama remake too! (not completely sure, but Legend of the Jade Sword)?
Edit: I hope the cast is good. I've only been reading the translated web novels, so I don't really know a lot of the story- and with 80 episodes, there's a big chance that it might get past the translations. Dang.. the Four Guild Alliance arc has been a bit boring so far, hope we get to progress to at least the start of the 10th Season when the drama comes out. They better cast a really handsome guy for Zhou Zekai :) And, Yu Wenzhou is my personal favorite.
Just realized that the episodes were only 15 minutes long. I didn't follow the V Live episodes, and I just watched Episode 4 on KBS World and I assumed that there were gonna be more episodes. Too bad the whole thing was only one and a half hours long ):
Can someone tell me who Dong Qi is? Is he one of the people from Snowdragon mountain? I don't recognize a lot of the characters, so it's going to be loosely adapted from Desolate Era.. right? I can't imagine that Desolate Era would have a drama adaption, I don't think any xianxia novels would be suitable.
Also, if they really do base it more tightly on the novel, about which book would it get to?
This drama really had me guessing to the very end who the husband was. I was shocked when Taek was the husband. I really thought Jung Hwan was going to be the husband.
I was on team Jung Hwan the entire time. I liked Taek, but.. honestly, I didn't feel the chemistry.
I just realized, isn't The Princess Wei Young like copying Empress Ki at times?
All of the events are the same. The girl getting punished and sent to the cold place, the hunting games, what the heck. Even the rude servants.
I finally finished this drama, and it was like a chore to watch it. I hated the Main Cast, which is extremely difficult to do when your bias in your bias group (Woohyun) is in it. I started this for Woohyun, but even he couldn't save me from boredom. In the end, I finished it for Taeho and Joo Ah. Very boring, and dragged out. Should have been around 12 episodes.
