WOW! Kim hee Ae, Han Seok Kyu and writer Park Kyung soo!! I can`t wait to watch it. I watched all the dramas of Park Kyung Soo and I am glad he came back with another work.

There are many possible answers but, to reasure everyone, the script made it clear that there is not romance between Lee Yeon and Hong Joo.

He will return to Nam Ji Ah in the end of season 2 or 3. Lee Yeon and Hong Joo will be just friends.

Yes, it is interesting to see why Lee Yeon goes back in time. Season 2 and 3 have conection but there won`t be season 3 if season 2 won`t do well in ratings.

Yes, I am watching for KSY. I don`t like supernatural dramas with non human creatures. Body swap is more tolerable (if it is done right, I can watch) but I usually don`t watch dramas with zombies, vampires or other creatures.

I don`t get why they wanted another seasons because I read that not many people were happy about the plot from the first one. LOL
Perhaps the writer wanted to explore a little nore the fantasy world that she created in the first season, wanted to show a little more about gumiho brothers and the montains gods. Why the female lead is not in this season? Because her story was already told. They reaunite after so many years and they are happy. Fairy tail ending. To continue from where they left in the first season, it would mean to create more angst for the couple and new conflicts and the same love story, Lee Rang was dead, Lee Yeon is human.

I used to think a time travel will complicate the plot but now i like it. It is interesting to see how the writer explain some things. Why Lee Yeon had to return to the past and why 1938? What he can do to return to his loved ones ? He will change the future? It is allowed? Because Lee Yeon is from the future, there is a connection with the season 1 female lead that some fans want to see (he wants to reunite with her) and other fans wanted to see more of gumiho brothers.

You said that she was the reason of his existence for centuries. I beg to differ. Or maybe not entirely. She was very important for him at some moment in life but he had a life before meeting her. He was a mountain god for thousand years and had a greater purpose in life. Maybe the writer wanted to explore this life a little more. I personally found this interesting. It is interesting to see his struggle between duty and love. To give up this duty can be seen as romantic (he did it for love) but in the same time it could be seen as a betrayal, selfisness. To be the guardian deity that resides in the mountain as its ruler and protector for many people is not just a simple job. It was his purpose. To give us this just for one person is not that simple. The balance between good and evil was affected. But looking at the mountains gods from the human`s perspective, they have great power but they are extremely lonely. Perhaps the writer wanted to explore this aspect about Lee Yeon. Fans of the original couple can be with him, understanding him more, be happy for him that he found love, cheer for him to return to his love . It is Lee Yeon`s journey not his human lover story but she is very much connected with him. It is a win -win situation. Of course, they can decide to not watch this season. That`s fine. To each his/her own.

I just hope the writer had a good story in mind. There is potential for some good stories and characters. The Japanese occupation era is another interesting aspect. We`ll see.

I am the first to not want to watch a one sided love story if that will be the main plot. I will be disappointed to the wasted potential of not giving So yeon a meatier role. But I don`t think we`ll see that. Again, from synopsis we find out that Hong Joo had liked Lee yeon the first time she saw him. She confessed and was rejected. That was way before 1938 when they met again in this season. Perhaps she still likes him but I totally think she moved on. Maybe she will be flirting a little? Perhaps. Why not? She is a bored deity. But the fact is simple: they are friends and sometimes enemies. They said it clearly in the synopsis.
I don`t like the genre (fantasy with supernatural creatures and superpowers). I read about the first season and watched some scenes on You Tube and definetly it is not my kind of drama. But I will watch season 2 and suport this drama. I just hope that the writing will be good. We all want a good drama after all.

Why Lee Rang can`t have a love story? Could be a tragic one who knows? Maybe other character have some romance? Or maybe there isn`t. Yeah, there could be some romance in the fantasy genre but I think people concentrate too much on this tag when in reality the synopsis excluded a romance between the main leads (and that`s what they wanted). And still it is not enough from them. The fact that Lee Yeon goes to the past when he had a happy life with his loved ones (after so many years) and desperately wants to come back to them could be seen as romantic, right? Maybe that`s why there is the romance in the tag.
I read in the few official articles about the drama that Gumiho2 it is a horror action drama, not a single mention about romance genre. The fans of the season 1 romantic couple will always have their happy love story, even Lee Yeon never looking for other woman in a romantic way, have him pining away for the loved one when he comes to the past and it is still not enough. Well....

A possible explanation: Because he is very old the hair is white or blond but red at the roots. Or maybe he likes this style. LOL.

It`s nice that Lee Dong Wook and sometime Kim Bun gave us some pictures from the filming site. Question. Why Lee Yeon has two hair colors in the same time? It`s weird.

I can`t believe people are still worrying about the romance. LOL I am more interested in why Lee yeon and Moo young, the northen mountain god, are at odds. Someone from twitter rewatched season 1 and find out some informations. Lee Yeon saved Gu Shin Joo from a former mountain god (he have served him) and he refused to return to him. Also, Lee yeon mentioned that he ate with Shin Joo`s former master (implying they were friends/ acquaintance). It is possible that it was about Choi Moo Young and I can see why this can bring animosity (especially for Moo Young). Perhaps there are other reasons too. I hope they will create believeble conflict between character.
Another thing.... I wonder why Lee yeon has to travel back in time. Why? There is a purpose or it is just an accident that he arrived in 1938? We`ll see.

Have you read the synopsis? There won`t be romance between the main leads (if that`s is worrying you). Plus, the articles said it will be a horror drama. But if there will be romance (as a subplot) for other characters will not be illogical, right?

HAHA. I was sure that Bong Tae Kyu will appear in one of Kim Soon Ok`s drama. Now let see if Eugene will be cast as well. Perhaps Kim So yeon will make a cameo in one of the drama. It will be nice.

I assume that Hong Joo will be torn between them. Because they will be against each other. I kind of guess right what will happen so let see if I am right about this.

I don`t know how Lee Rang fits into the story. He has a history with his brother, of course, but I am sure he will have conncetion with other characters as well. He can`t be isolated in the story.
In my opinion the time travel complicates the plot unecessary but maybe the writer knows very well where she want to get the story.

Yeah, I also like that she is a grey character, with her own agenda. There wasn`t much about her description but it was said literal "she is sometime a friend and sometime an enemy" to Lee Yeon.
We`ll see what they prepared for So yeon`s character but I can deduce that Hong Joo is powerful but a very lonely woman. She doesn`t like to be bored.
I think she will be in the middle of the other two former mountain gods who are at odds (from some reason). The three of them were friends. I also like that the antagonist is a complex character. It is something tragic about friends becoming enemies. Let see how other characters connect with the story,
I also like the background of 1938.

I watched Jang Hyuk and Jang na ra in onother shows but not in the same drama together. This time it will be the first time. I wonder what genre this drama will have. I want to read more infromation.

I am sure Lee Ji ah will take the role. From what I understand she will play two roles? She will play the first lady (the wife of the president? ) and a twin, a doppelganger? Probably another drama of Kim soon Ok to be a hit. I will read about the synopsis but am still not watching. LOL

I am excited to see So yeon on screen again but I don`t have great expectations for Gumiho 2. But let`s hope it will be a good drama.
So yeon is not playing the antagonist this time but she is not too good either. I like what I read about her character. It is what I wished for. She will be sometime an ally and sometime an enemy to the hero. The potential is there.

They made Logan Lee a suporting character after the change. The writer came up with another story in a short period of time. I wonder why they did not remain on the original story. Perhaps it was the same idea but reorganized the characters.

I think you are right. From that synopsis, Yoon hee would have played a more exciting role. I also belived the initial synopsis was about her.
They made many changes in the script and characters. When Ha Seok-Jin rejected the male lead offer the writer eliminated the role. Park Eun Seok was cast as Cheon Seo Jin`s husband at first (after Oh Man seok rejected the offer) but later they replaced him with Yoon Jong Hoon. They made another character for Park Eun seok (not lead character) and took something from the initial role of Ha Seok Jin.

Oh... yeah. Sorry. You were talking about So yeon. LOL.
We both want to see So yeon in another drama but we like different genre.
