Writing qualify is indeed really poor compared to S1. Charater inconsistency is a big problem. Jang Uk, for example, said things that is totally out of character. Its frustrating because Jang Uk in S1 is one of the best Kdrama ML in a long time.

To be fair Mudeok is the persona Naksu created since she has to survive while being powerless and living as a servant. When she speaks with other people she exagerate her tone, accent, and mannerism. When she's with Jang Uk she's mostly cold, cynical, introverted. JSM did well to portray this.

Shame i thought the romance was the only good part of S2. They ruined that too.

This is one of silliest show I've ever watched. Three major deaths back to back in the most stupid manner. Park Jin, one of the most powerful mage, conviniently put his back to his enemy, then get stabbed like a total moron. Who wrote this shit? Yesterday they done Jang Uks dirty. Today they fucked up Park Jin. Have the writers gone autistic or what? This shit is legit worse than GoT S8.

Where did the King and UA and suddenly find the courage to off Jang Uk's adoptive parents? Weren't they all scared shitless of Uk in Ep7? They know Uk still has the ice stone right? Did I miss something ? This shit feels so random.

Exactly. Like where did that come from? Even in Ep6 flashback, we saw Uk about to murder the royal family and jin mu, for their involvement in killing Naksu. Now he's contemplating killing her because his duty given by the royal family. Who wrote this shit !!.

Fans are fanboys are different though. Judging by the rating, there are more fanboys than fans this season.
