Ep 10. I’m so glad that old hag Kang got what was coming to her. The candy to the face was icing on the cake. One thing I love about this drama is not only the chemistry between the leads but the more Zhen and ChangYu get to know each other the deeper they fall in love, it’s a well written slow build. As for the relationship between XZ and his uncle, complicated indeed. When he was remembering his nephew he seemed to care about him but I still think he had a hand in Xie Zhen’s “death.” The Li-Wei feud seems to be a big part of the whole conflict. As for Qinn I love her! Awesome to have another strong, powerful woman in the story. Ps. The falcon is so cute.
Now to watch ep 11.

They haven’t released Hidden Shadow yet so who knows when this will see the light of day if ever.

I’d say Youku is the worst in releasing dramas 😡. Still waiting for this and Hidden Shadow to be dropped. But I’m losing my patience 😩. They were announced for last year ffs.

It's cute how Chang Yu is so innocent when it comes to riches or money. Like when Yan Zhen was asking her if her parents had left her something very important relating to fortune etc. That she'd want to take in case of needing to flee.
(him expecting her to say anything related to money) and she answers her knives set, the deed and her sister. LOL.

So, she won't find out who her husband is until he goes off to war? I was hoping he would tell her himself. Or she would find out before by someone spilling. But I guess since they don't have the unnecessary SML love triangle, they need to separate them and add angst in another way.

The kiss was both sweet and chemistry filled. I love the sexual tension between ZLH and TXW. Too bad they got interrupted though.

The preview for ep 11! Damn he's so in love with her. Tomorrow is going to be good.

Today's episode. The way Yan Zhen always strives to protect her even if it costs him his life that's love alright. And for a Marquis that never really cared about women or love it took a real special one to change it all for him. That of course was Chang Yu. I'm intrigued with all this political drama surrounding him, his family and how the Fan's tie into all of it. Seems like we'll get more of the backstory in eps 10 & 11. By the way, I'm glad that it seems the Li guy is in Xie' Zhen's side. But we'll see.

Just going by the trailer this does remind me of OF but female version. Since both are by Jojo there’s probably a lot of similarities. Guess we’ll see.

I just listened to the ost because of everyone saying how bad it is and I have to agree.

Saw the preview clips for tomorrow’s episode and it’s about to get even better.

So far Dean is the red flagest of them all. But Jack has some 🚩flag in him too. I wonder if he’s the reason for the break up and not Dean like it’s insinuated. Tua is the purest of them all and Boston is here! Darn! I haven’t watched all of S1 but did watch some clips and if anyone is a 🚩 it’s Boston. Nah scratch that he’s a 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩. We all know he’s here to cause a lot of drama 🫣.

Also, that ahole bf was cheating on her, of course. He better be dead, but something tells me he's not: ugh.

Ay yay yay. It was so nice seeing Haran opening up to life and being herself again. Chan both means so much to her and has already helped her heal so much. But now with that ending, I'm afraid she's going to close off to people again, since I think she feels abandoned. Which is going to be worse when she finds out her grandmother has dementia.

Episode 7 was intense! ZLH is good in those fight scenes. Also, Changyu is one brave woman. With all the hardship she's lived through it's understandable. Yan Zhen he gets better but to protect CY he keeps getting injured over and over again, sigh. I almost thought he was going to out himself but good thing he didn't. CY should know who he is soon though. I do have to ffwd the slaughter scenes though. I'm sensitive to that stuff.

Loving it. Perfect for those 5 episodes! I love ChangYu so much she’s the perfect mix of how I like my female leads: strong, fiesty, smart yet still innocent, sweet and pure hearted. Also the chemistry between ZLH and TXW oof! The tension in ep 5. I felt like I was intruding.
