I see why novel readers said the political plotline and allegiances/ not allegiances are complicated in the story. Today's episodes told us how. What a messy, tangled web we weave.

What a place to end it at! UGH. I hope nothing interrupts them tomorrow, but I sense that it will, sigh.
The Plot thickens! So, Qi Min is a crown prince who has rebuffed his title now and taken on a new identity in QM. He is also the one who started the conflict between Uncle Wei and Xie Zheng oof. Wasn't expecting that. We'll see if their relationship can be salvage in any way in the end since it wasn't Wei Yan who started that conflict like I previously believed.
Qi Min is definitely a red flag and seems obsessed with Qian Qian. Very intrigued as to how that unfolds. Seems like Qian Qian has an idea to who he is. But can fathom it since he had scars back then on his face.
As to Qian Quian I love her! Love how she stood up for FCY with that horrible Song woman. Song got her karma with QM sending someone to scare her. I love Qian and ChangYu's friendship I hope we somehow still see it when CY goes off to war. Though I sense it will be difficult. I have a feeling FCY will become friends with the Grand Princess later on.
LOL at Changyu selling Zheng for 30 taels. His face when he realized for how low she had sold him for. QM is another that recognized the Marquis. I guess no one in the village does because they are a small, secluded town where Marquis Wu Xie Zheng would have never shown his face before, hence why no one recognizes him.

From what I saw a forced kiss. Some don’t like that and I think are calling him a 🚩.

They should definitely sell this to another platform that is willing to air it like all those other Chinese BL's that have aired recently. At least give fans a chance to see it.

They probably mean he's a black flag to his enemies. That's how he earned his reputation. Not to her though. I think there's one incident in the novel that seemed controversial to some- but for me that can be not so bad. Have to see how it airs. According to a post I read earlier, he's a green flag to her. through the story.

Pursuit of Jade. Just started 3 days ago but it's a goldmine. Same director. (You're probably watching it already but if not definitely check it out! it's very good.)

I'm going to hope for the best but doubt that they can top this one.

I fear this drama set the standard way too high for upcoming dramas. There's some I'm highly anticipating like: Hidden Shadow, Chasing Dreams, Mo Li and The Eternal Fragnance. But now I'm scared that they won't live up to my expectations after watching PoJ. Here's hoping for the best when it comes to those dramas. As for Pursuit of Jade, I hope it maintains this high-quality writing until the end. Judging from who the director and the screen writer is I have no doubt it will.

I liked the first episode. Namtan has chemistry with everyone. The scene between Prim and Goyra was hot but of course this won't lead anywhere. I found Bambi pretty annoying. I hope she tones it down as the story progresses. All in all, I can tell this is going to be messy.

Is it tomorrow yet? I want the eps already. Last time I was this hooked on a drama it was A Dream Within a Dream. So, it's been a while. I was waiting for this since the casting call I was very excited/ curious to watch Zhang Ling He and Tian Xi Wei working together. But was scared it would end up a disappointment but of course it hasn't! so happy about that.

Yeah, they are actors after all although it can be difficult for them to interact when all that stuff happens between them. Happens all over the world, sadly. Here in my country we've had tons of actors who date, they end badly and never want to talk to each other ever again. That's the risk they take when they decide to maybe have a relationship. Sucks that it ruins their old working relationships in the end.

That bastard was going to sell her to the mountains basically human trafficking and slavery. He also said he was going to break her meridians. I think XZ had every right to react that way esp since that chubby, old bastard attacked his wife.

I saw that whatever happened there must of been bad for both of them to react that way. Maybe sometimes fans can be the one of the causes of actors ending badly. ZLZ and LW also ignore each other after Love Like the Galaxy.

True. If there’s so much bad karma between their managers then it will be very difficult. Unless they are willing to work with each other in another drama because I imagine ZLH and TWX can be profitable. It’s sad when these problems arise.

I wonder if ZLH and TWX will get paired again. PoJ so far has been a massive hit, and I think their chemistry is a big factor to that. Well, paired with the great writing, acting, cinematography etc. Although sometimes I've seen couples have amazing chemistry together and never get paired again sadly, so I hope that's not the case with ZLH and TWX. That chemistry shouldn't be wasted. I guess time will tell. I'll add that TWX also had amazing chemistry with DW in Guardians of The Dafeng. Their kiss in that is one of the best I've seen. Yet who knows if they'll work together again.

Zhang really lost it when he saw CY in danger. He loves her so much. I also loved that she was the only one who was able to bring him out of that dark moment. Have to say ZLH is excellent when he has his characters play those dark moments he scared me. Will never get over their chemistry, so good! We're veering into the second and third couple stories from now. I did like the Gongsung Yin one with the Princess and am intrigued by the Qian one, there seems to be so much mystery surrounding it. Can't wait for tomorrow's episodes.

some people don't like forced kisses from what I've seen. could be why they say he's a red flag because the force could be attributed to control, excessive jealousy etc.
