They get together in ep 32. His main name in the story is Nan Heng, he's the character inside the script but he's the main character. His Li Shuliu name is a second identity, Nan Heng uses. Nan Feng is the real-world actor we meet in ep 1 but he really is not important in the story

It's a very satisfying ending. They get two HEA one inside the story book and another post credit scene where it shows that she goes back to her world, but he follows so they stay together in both worlds. It's not a last minute together. They get married in ep 32 and after that they are together the rest of the drama fighting their battles together.

A Dream Within A Dream

Can't wait for this one! Just finished ADWAD which was one of the best dramas this year! I have a feeling this one may be included in my top of '25 too. It's from my favorite director, has one of my favorite actors in it with that alone, I already know I'm going to love it. Hopefully it does air in August as rumored.

Honestly it was so good! When I saw the trailer for it I expected something less deep and good. For me it's tied with Moonlight Mystique for best drama of 2025. Now I wait for Fated Hearts (same director as MM, so I know it will be good) The Legend of Female General and Eternal Fragrance.

His ending was exactly what I wanted. Realized he was a nobody in the end lmao when his army turned their back on him. Then he got an awesome beating by NH.

ADWAD is one of the only dramas that I've seen where none of the supporting characters died. Only the two villains did. Loved that.

The Title of the Drama they are about "A Dream inside Quining. " Acording to those who understand Chinese & Chinese citizens at the end once SXY wakes up the title of the drama she was reading is now: "A Dream within a Dream." The subs for whatever reason didn't translate this and left it as "A Dream Inside Quining." still.

Thats what matters whatever version he is or whatever version you want him to be. it doesn't matter because they are all Nan Heng and, in the end, he's with the woman he loves.

What version of NH he is yes. The rest is pretty clear XD. I think whatever version he is:
1. NF with NH's memories
2. NH always being NF even from ep 1,
3. NH from the story book coming to her world while NF still exists.
4. NF always being NH inside the story book but without his real-world memories,

and finally

4. NH the one we knew to be the fictional character transmigrating into NF's body to be with his love.

So many versions we can take LOL. If you pick one, it works because in the end all of those have their love for SXY in common will fight for that love and for their destiny together.

I saw the ending wtf was that? after everything that's the ending???? ok then. Luckily ADWAD had a much better, completely satisfying ending.

the effects were really bad too. What was that with the kid and the big mouth??? I burst out laughing when I saw that. I guess that drama didn't have much money invested in it except for the actors.

In subs they didn't translate the change in title at all. which sucks. The ending def was the best they could have given ADWAD as a transmigration drama. 10/10

I saw clips of her and FEUD and I’m sorry but that was bad. Drama def not for me. Anyway BL’s costumes were ugly there compared to her beautiful ones in Moonlight Mystique or Li Yi Tong’s here.

Can someone ask the director if he can explain that post credit scene? Oth would he? I think he wanted to leave us with that big question on what version of NH it is 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Maybe in the end it doesn’t matter? What matters is that he’s here and they are continuing to fight for their love and against their fate as fictional characters.

Completely. I’m grateful that thanks to subs I can understand but why can’t they translate everything more accurately 😵‍💫
