Ditto. I rewatched the first episodes last night .Knowing what we know about YQ now, his character was always leading to this. The development is there (just like the romance with Yetan) but you miss it because it's hidden behind the cold, expressionless persona he is at first. Then there's those tiny little hints where you see who he really is. Clever writers, very clever this is how you write a complex story with very well written, multi-faceted characters and plot.

Exactly so frustrating that they make the actors work then cut it out, and for couple fans it’s equally as frustrating

The sword dance is beautiful. With all the little constellations around them and their strong chemistry. It worked better for me than the kiss scene. Don't get me wrong I loved it too, but the sword scene is so romantic, and I feel the love.

This is gonna backfire in the future. I really hope those angry fans don't drop it. It's gonna hurt it's popularity esp going into the last week.

I'm so tired of them cutting things. At least they left the kiss as edited as it may have been and the sword dance scene still.....

They tend to do that a lot. Esp when a drama is halfway/close to the end. They did it with Choice Husband too which wasn't that well received either. I dunno maybe they don't care as much when a drama isn't critical acclaimed. Sucks for it's fans tho.

The teacher is that biatch fairy's cousin so I'm guessing she whines to him or hates that BQ lost her "chance"(she never had one to begin with) to marry Youqin so he takes it out on Yetan.

I love Yetan's scheming mind- that's my princess! Landy Li is so good at comedy just like everything else she does here. Yetan loves her father I wish she didn't because he's been awful to her, her whole life but she just has this kind, humongous heart. It's so easy to love her. And her actress too of course!

LMAO at Man Man impersonating the emperor. Easily the best parts of the episode. The actor stole the show. He's so good and I'm glad that he got to play th comedy. Oh and please writers spare me the whole: "I love both my daughters." bs they are trying to sell not buying it. Just going by some of the spoilers he's going to be horrible to Yetan again pretty soon.

Not much to say about Chaofeng at the end there just so glad that Qingkui stopped him. Everything she said to him was true.

Man Man is the best friend YT could have- loyal to the bone but not afraid to be honest to Yetan and scold her when she feels she's being reckless. I don't want what's coming for her- I don't. :(.

It’s because the drama made us love these characters so much that no sad ending accepted 😂. Glad the author realized that. Haha tho I heard when the producers bought the rights to The Starry Love the novel wasn’t quite finished yet. So seeing the reception to it the author released an epilogue,

Both ML’s are green flags compared to others we see in cdramas. Rare to see but I love it.

I also noticed that YQ’s attire is very similar to the void one. In that spoiler where I’m guessing they are caught abd QK does what she does 😭😭😭😭😭. They are probably hiding. Also like that YQ and CF will be working together to protect their girls. No ill will between them looks like because both understand each other.
