I wonder if Youku released TSL this early because they had less faith in it than other bigger dramas that they are planning to release this year. And are very pleasantly surprised/happy by the results and success Starry Love is having. If yes, then they should have believed in it more, lol.

Seeing the heat index on Youku(9500 now) and the amount of social media interaction I'd say this drama is a hit. (Not sure of the tv ratings in China.) Yes! Everyone involved with The Starry Love deserve this. Esp the cast who are not big names(yet) but are earning people's love with their work here. I'm happy it's a success.
Yep you can even see it in the opening and closing themes: YQ 2.0 seems very different from 1.0. CXX is so good. He's definitely getting his chance to really shine here.
Landy Li is an excellent actress I felt all of Yetan's emotions this ep. This is my first time seeing her but I'm in awe of her acting skills.
Per ep 12 I hate the Heavenly Emperor way more than I hate Yetan and Qingkui's father atm.(tho I'm sure it will change soon, since both are pos') He is a piece of trash that deserves the worst type of death ever. I would say that he was the true villain of this story. He treats his son like something that's not worth his time. FFs he is his son not something that doesn't matter ugh! I love how Yetan stood up to him and told him his truths. This is why I love her character.
The only father who is sorta worthy is the Void one. And I say sorta because he's awful in his own way too. But at least he seems to care more about his children than the other two. Haven't spent enough time with the Beast realm king to know how he is but seeing the other fathers in this drama I'm not expecting much.
LOL at the heavenly dog not understanding his assigment, poor puppy tho he was only trying to do his job. That scene made me laugh so much. Love how all the Heavenly realm was helping Yetan achieve her mission. They all love Youqin and even more now that he saved the realms. He deserves all their loyalty and love.
Now onto the mortal realm and meeting all of Youqin's soul shards.
The filming locations for this drama are gorgeous. I love the village setting in ep 12. The mountain top with all the stars? ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. Perfect location for a kiss. Little Ms. Tong is adorable and loving Xiao Han being more open about his feelings for He Ran. Btw HR looked gorgeous in her traditional clothes.

What a surprise that Dong Hee is really the student's brother. Did not see that coming at all! *sarcasm,* This is a twist that every one saw coming. I really wish Dong Hee would have just been left as the best friend. No need to turn him into a psycho, sigh. Shin Jae Ha is so good tho he gives me chills when he plays the evilness.
Sun Jae broke my heart this episode. This made me hate his mother even more. Even if she wants her children to succeed, this is not the way to do it. She is breaking SJ and she doesn't even care. I really hope she gets her karma but I doubt her sons would abandon her. She deserves it tho. Thank goodness Sun Jae was saved, and I love that friendship.
Speaking of horrible mother's why is Hae Yi's mom back? and why did no one put her in her place instead of taking her abuse? I hope she gets HY's anger when she wakes up.
I feel for Chi Yeol finding out the one person he trusted the most is a murderous psycho. Ouch. What will he do now? and no preview for next ep? to be expected I guess. Two more eps to go.

ugh NO. I'm with you on that. That pos father does not deserve Yetan's forgiveness or even love. I know she still loves him because her heart is good and he is her father but nope. He doesn't deserve the daughters he has.
Yetan really has Youqin going crazy for her. All his soul shards have fallen in love with her. And the girl didn't even have to do much btw haha. They really are soulmates.
