Great episode the last scene between Palm and Nuengdiao made me swoon. One of the few BL's where we actually hear the characters say ILY. Too bad that what Nueng did is gonna bring grave consequences but honestly, he had no choice. As for Ben and Chopper, sorry still not feeling them. For me they are just there and don't fit in the story but hey, that's just me.
So many important subjects dealt with in this series. I think it's one of the better GMMTV series an d Jojo has done a good job with it. It may seem silly at first but it's morre than that. I love the friendships, the ace representation, and of course the LGBTQ+ representation too. I like how Alex helped Army with his problem with Joe and then later how Army and Joe figure it out(that scene was hot!) Kat's trauma was important to show PSTD when an attack happens and how that pain can later lead to empowerment or becoming stronger. Wish the writers hadn't gone with the Kat has feelings for Alex angle because I like her friendship with Jean. I hope those feelings don't ruin it. Ah the hard topic of unplanned pregnancy I want to see how this is handled since important on both views of abortion or not. I'm liking this series, wish more people would watch because it's serious enough to show important stuff humans deal with everyday starting with sexual education. I'm intrigued how the writers will chose to close the stuff with Jean and Alex because it took a very dark tone. 4 more episodes to see how that part of the series is dealt with.
Is this the most perfect drama? No but it isn’t as bad as many in the comment section are saying. It’s pretty enjoyable for me so far. And, I love Li Hong Yi so if anything I’ll continue watching for him,
After these weeks episode I really hate these “mothers” if we can call them that. Pushing their children to their limit is not an a good thing whether the excuse is for success or not. It’s not really, they end up hurting their children more than making them happy in successful. As much as I dislike Sua-a, she’s a product of her selfish, hateful mother. Just like Sunjea’s brother is. Not to mention Choi’s old student and her brother too. Sad that some mothers are like this. Breaking their children down in order of academic success.
Speaking of Choi sad that he took the brunt of the responsibility of what happened to the student when the responsibility deals with her sick mother and that corrupt director. He gets hate for no reason what happened in the past was not his fault at all. I get that he feels guilty because he wasn’t able to protect her but still…. I like how the writers made it seem like she had a crush on Choi and that led to her suicide or murder when the real reason was actually greed and selfishness of her mother. I did not see that coming at all.
This series is so good because it deals with heavy topics but the writers know exactly how to lighten the mood with the touch of comedy and romance, which I’m loving btw. It also feels like a healing drama because the leads are prob gonna help each other heal.
Got to say Studio Dragon had two hits back to back. First with Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow and now with Crash Course in Romance.
Which dramas are u watching? I might be interested. Pls tell
Interest of Love, Crash into Romance while not as heavy as IoL, it’s still deals with some heavy topics, like mental health, eating disorders, parents abandoning their children and mysterious killings. The reason I say it’s less dark is because they mix it with comedy. While interest of love deals with messed up people who do dumb things in the name of Love.
I tried first episode not super hooked like with AOS but Ill try second and see, I usually get hooked at hello…
I think ep 2 was better, not so much info dump as ep 1. Yeah try for yourself and see how you feel after episode 2. The difference between AoS and this is Kokdu is more comedy/romcom than Alchemy. So far it’s entertaining me, let’s see if it holds up for me later.
I really, really liked the second episode. I like the touch of comedy and the simmering romance. I dunno even if the story it's completely different it gives me Alchemy of Souls vibes.Maybe it's the past life and the similar sets, the amnesia and soul taking over the body plus the locations and let's not forget the bit of fantasy. Anyhow I know lots of people don't like Im Soo Hyang but I've seen worse so far I don't think she's that bad. I like HGJ's fire. I'm loving Kim Jung Hyun's acting skills! The man can surely act. Seems like the plot will take up speed next week but so far I really like this series too.
I checked the writers from this series because I was curious who had writeen this cute masterpiece. And, these writers are the same from: Bad Buddy, A Tale of a Thousand Stars, Theory of Love, Vice Versa, Love Mechanics(2022) etc. I see why it's so good they are responsible for some of the best BL's out there no wonder MSP now fits in that category.
In the book apparently none of these people end up together. But from what I heard and saw of spoilers it seems…
I think next episode will give us more of a sign how this will end. I had enough stress of not getting a happy ending on Alchemy of Souls 2 😂😂😂. So I’m hoping for one tho I’m ready for a non happy one just in case we’ll see. 😅
