it seems like this one has a better plot, also the characters are a bit more mature here. hopefully they'll act…
I noticed that if the characters are older the story isn't as cliche like when they are younger. IA let them continue to act like adults please. So far so good. At least it seems like they'll be more character development than in SIMM. We will see. Yeah both Mek and Mark are gorgeous + chemistry is natural..
Good start I think I'm gonna like this one more than Star in My Mind. For the first episode it doesn't seem to have the same cliches that SIMM did. At least here there was communication so I'm hoping that miscommunication if it happens won't be draged out too much. Loving the chemistry between Mek and Mark.
I' m thinking this may air after Mama Gogo which brings us to about August. Unless GMMTV airs it right after 3 Will B Free (Vice Versa is airing after Sky in Your Heart apparently). Though not sure if it will have the amount of episodes needed to air it in June. Anyway, I'm hyped: First is one of my faves after watching him in Not Me. And, I've loved Khatoung since 2gether and felt he deserved better than what he got in TohhonChonlatee and think this is right up his alley. After Not Me I'm also more into these social commentary/political meaningful BL's so can't wait!
I was sort of annoyed that this is a copy and paste of a tale of a 1000 stars but now am actually looking forward…
At the surface, when the trailer came out Star in My Mind looked like a copy and Paste of Theory of Love & it really wasn't. Was it similar? Yes but pretty different at the same time. Sky in Your Heart may be different too. XD. Left to be seen.
Bro i seriously dont know what's wrong with these reviews. This series is actually pretty good ,the directing…
Sadly true. And I agree that’s why Bright gets so many leads because of his looks. Tbh I love Gun and the guy is extremely talento in his case he gets roles for his talent as it should be. I wish GMMtV would do that for other deserving actors not just on looks and popularity
Also the mother's motivation to hurt Korn and Win by asking Korn to be the majority stock holder was dumb and made no sense whatsoever. Is she homophobic? I'm not sure because she seems to accept that Win and Korn love each other in the end so wtf? she caused all that drama for nothing. And the way she's easily forgiven made my blood boil. Yes she's Win and Lin's mother but she created so much drama that almost drove both of her children to death. Did that make her change her mind and accept Win's love for Korn????? again not explained since she was trying to force marriage between Korn and Lin then she magically accepts it? geeze so much bad writing. If I was Win I would have distanced myself from her or at least stopped talking to her for a few days. But no everything is rosy posey ok then.
Tho I had problems with Win 's character thru out the series I still liked it. EarthMix's chemistry is always a plus and tbh that was the only reason I watched this. Oh, and the look into Thailand's landscapes and culture. Although this series was nothing to write home about it was better than I expected.
Bro i seriously dont know what's wrong with these reviews. This series is actually pretty good ,the directing…
IA about Bright , I like him but yes he needs more work esp in the emotional scenes. Actually wish Off was the lead in the upcoming Astrophile. I think after Sean in Not Me he proved how good he is(always thought so but some came to love him after NM). Off deseves more leads out of the two he's the better actor, imo.
Cute ending I liked it. Love that Fah was an oer protective bother at first. Kluen did hurt Nuea a lot in the beginning. But in the end he was ok witht heir relationship because Kluen passed the test I guess. I'll admit that Kluen's sudden personality change in eps 7 & 8 came out of nowhere but maybe it had to do with him being happy that allowed him to be open and show who he really is. Good transition into Fah's story. This series wasn't anything to write home about and it did have some major flaws especially with all the miscommunication but I enjoyed it more than other BL's recently. It's not perfect but I think that one of my favorite things about the series was that once the misunderstandings were dealt with Nuea and Kluen were allowed to be happy. With all the flaws in writting I still give this a 9 like I said way better than other BL's I saw recently and much much btter than the series that was before this one. One more thing this series wasn't everyone's cup of tea and I get that but I enjoyed it for what it was something lighthearted and romantic.
I rather watch this than Enchante lol. Once you watch Enchante, your mind will change a little about this show…
Yup. At least here I like the characters. Not that they aren’t problematic because boy are they esp Kluen. Yet he still has more charm and like ability than Theo. And both Dunk and Joong can act unlike Book. The only character I liked on Enchante was Akk. Plus the story flows better on here than it ever did on Enchante. Is this series perfect? Ahhhh nope! But way better than Enchante for sure.
Well at least they talked to eachother. All the misunderstandings would have been over way before if they’d just talked Sigh, then again had Klurn and Nueva talked 3 episodes before this series would have been over right there lol. Oh and Gia rocks! She did what these dummies should have done a long time ago.
The more I think about it the more I realize that pre Not Me and pre Bad Buddy I would have been perfectly ok with this series had I watched it first. It's just that the main couples on both NM and BB were healthy and actually communicated with one another. All of their problems were fixed fast because they listened to the one they loved and fought together for their relationship. I think both Not Me and Bad Buddy and now Secret Crush on Me(which I saw along side this)set the bar very high for me when it comes to healthy relationships and couples. Had it not been for those 3 series I think I would have been okay with the toxicness in Kuea and Lian's relationship because I wouldn't have noticed it as much. TBH their relationship was pretty standard when it comes to BL series and regular TV series. The hot kisses, which honestly yeah we don't get enough in these series, & fan service would have been enough for me to love this 100%. As long as I believe that they love each other I'm fine and I did in Cutie Pie. I was used to this level of misunderstandings between lead couples and it all being resolved in the last couple of episodes. But thanks to Not Me, Bad Buddy and Secret Crush on You it all changed and now I want better. Now I find myself getting frustrated if the characters don't communicate. I'm having this same problem with Star in My Mind too, no matter how cute and wholesome it may be. CP was ok for what it was but it could have been so much more than what it turned out being oh well.... At least we got good chemistry between the leads, acting and some moments that were better than other series.
Everything about the last episode summed up the problems with the series. It was awkward and full of unearned…
That's why Not Me eats Cutie Pie in that area. P'Nuchy has been thru all those hardships and she knew exactly how to put her characters in those situations and other society ones. So when SeanWhite and DanYok get their happy ends they feel 100% earned after everything they went thru. Cutie Pie? well it feels like fairy tale ending. False but cute and somewhat entertaining. IA about Secret Crush on You more people need to watch that wonderful series. And while you're at it if people haven't watched Not Me yet please do. The episodes are also up on Youtube.
Its finally over! I'll admit that I enjoyed the finale. It was cute watching Kuea trying to propose to Lian. I also enjoyed the last speech about marriage and love. But Kuea was annoying this episode. Why must he act like a 2yr old all the time? UGH! Barely any character development for him til like what the last 30 mins? Almost not good enough but at least he embraced his true self and stopped being afraid + annoying. If it wasn't for NuNew's acting Kuea would have been one of my most disliked characters. I liked Nuer and Syn this episode finally didn't feel like Syn was second best to Nuer. They were cute. Even Yi and Dao were less toxic than Kuea & Lian in the end. I did enjoy this series for what it was a guilty pleasure but to say that I'm disappointed at how bad it got is an understatement. It could have been way more than just fanservice because I do see what the writers were trying to do but didn't know how to, sadly.
I'm speechless that ending was beautiful. SCOY deserves higher ratings on here. It was truly special and NOT what it started out being. I think many people slept on it because they thought it was cringy and weird. I mean I wasn't going to watch because the trailer threw me off. Too much cringyness and I thought Toh was weird and crazy. But I saw all the hype and love this series was getting and I decided to check it out for myself. And, I'm glad that I did! SCOY is definitely one of my favcrite BL's this year. And to think I would have missed out on it if I had gone with my first impression of it.
The ending sigh. I know some won't like it because they felt like Toh's behavior was excused but he never truly was a stalker, he was a hoarder. He never set out to hurt Nuea or put him in any type of danger. Was he obsessed? maybe... but his love was never psychotic like stalkers tend to be. I love that Nuea fell for Toh on his own. Toh never forced him to do anything, he won Nuea's heart by being himself, even if he was a little crazy :D. This series truly was a diamond in the rough. Most of us expected it to be a cringefest all the way thru but it wasn't. I mean it did start that way but it developed into so much more as the story progressed. It was something beautiful that showed us that we all deserved love no matter how we are perceived by others whether we are "outcasts" or not... Straight/bi/gay/lesbian/Ace/Trans--- whatever we are all equal when it comes to love and we all deserve happiness. We don't get BL series were the main character is like Toh seen as an outcasts and weird. They are always supporting characters but in SCOY they get to shine and get their HEA. Extremely grateful for SCOY.
So the final episode will air tomorrow then? I was wondering why it wasn't uploaded on Youtube like it normally is. Cutie Pie and this will end on the same day :(.
Way over dramatic. This series started out so good but the misunderstandings between Nuea and Kluen are really killing it. How many times do I have to shout to the tv "Just freaking talk to each other already!" Yes the misunderstanding and miscommunication would work better if the characters were preteens but Kluen and Nuea are 18-19 at this age people can communicate. It's sad that GMMTV series start strong and then lose their way towards the end. I think from recent BL series only Not Me and Bad Buddy escaped this fate. Both remained strong from start to finish. I still like Star in my Mind better than Enchante but it's suffering badly from bad writing. And it's only 8 episodes. I dread to think what would have happened if it had been the normal 10-12 episodes. The only thing I liked this ep is that Kluen finally started communicating his feelings to Danuea then it all went to poop.
After Not Me I'm also more into these social commentary/political meaningful BL's so can't wait!
