See I knew the breakup was going to be painful because I've seen the original, but man do EarthMix make it hurt. They are so good with angst. I was teary eyed watching that scene. I think another reason they were picked to helm this story is because they are so good at angst. Sure, this is mostly a comedy series, but it has those moments that hurt, and EM know exactly how to make it hurt.

Yeah, the breakup is definitely still happening. In the trailer there is a acene where Boss asks Heng to marry him again. That also happens in the OG after Maki breaks up with Haruta. That's why I think it's happening. Also, the preview where Mo sees Heng hugging Chicha happens in the original too. It is all leading to the breakup. But I do wonder how it will happen here since like you said Thailand is less homophobic than Japan. Maybe it will be Mo's insecurities unless Heng's mother is homophobic I guess we have to wait and see.

I loved that. I love how clear-cut Bai Shou was with Chong Zhao. She made it clear who she loved and stuck with that. In some other dramas although it's clear that the FL is 100% in love with the ML for some reason, she won't cut ties with the 2ML. And if she does, she still keeps him in her life with bluring lines sometimes. I liked that BS was different in that area. I didn't really like CZ in the beginning, so I didn't care if she hurt him or not.

The special episode blew my mind. I was so angry thinking why did they make a special episode just to end it like this? why not just leave them happy like at the end of the series? Then I saw the cliff and was like: "They are going to make a second season right?" sigh I hope they do because ending it like that is not fair.

Judging by the preview for next episode and going by the original the breakup is coming. And yes, I think people are not going to like how Mo handles things from here on out. Tho I wonder if they are going to change more things around. Because in the original homophobia (whether it was internalized or not) was a huge issue in the story. Especially how Maki handled his decisions during and after the breakup. And yes, Maki was def a coward and I think Mo will be too. He had his reason but.... Here tho, both Heng and Mo are more open and maybe it's just me, but I haven't seen the level of homophobia that was in the original yet. I guess they will focus more on that starting next episode. I really want to see how the writers handle that in this version.

That kiss! one of EM's best def. Their chemistry is amazing, and it gets better and better! Boss needs to move on 100% and Ten can be that person to help him.

DW is def up there with my faves. He won me over with his last two dramas. I’m still in the MM bubble and also find it hard to watch something new atm. I wanted to watch so many dramas that came out recently but couldn’t 🤣. It’s easier for me to just rewatch favorites when I’m in a bubble. I’ve been trying to get my brother to watch MM but then I already spoiled so much that he knows the story already 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Maybe I’ll wait and see if he forgets what I’ve told him.

I also wanted to see more Chinese BL but since we are probably never getting any more, I moved to Thai ones 🤣. Immortality is the one I’m the saddest about. I wanted to see it so much. The only hope is if a Thai company buys it and works with an independent Chinese company like they did with Meet Me at the (something)Tree. Forgot the name 🥹.
Sometimes the chemistry is so strong that’s it’s hard to fight against it 🤣🤣🤣. I tried not to get attached to cps but sometimes it’s really hard not to. With you on that.
DW has grown a lot as an actor, he was amazing in LYF. And even better in what I saw of LOTDT. He always was good but I’ve enjoyed his growth as an actor lately.

I get you because right now I feel like I can't watch them with anyone else. When I fall for a pairing that's how I am. That's why I'm taking a break from their upcoming dramas for now. And I know that's not fair to them, but I can't help how I feel. Maybe I'll watch clips when their dramas are airing, or I'll watch them in the future.
TBH that's why I couldn't finish Love of The Divine Tree. As much as I wasn't concentrating lol. I rewatched Lost You Forever, another or my favorites, while LOTDT was airing big mistake haha. While Yang Zi and Deng Wei didn't have that Wow! chemistry that BL & ARP did. I did love their pairing, and their love story a lot in LYF. So, it was hard for me to watch DW with another actress. I'll go back to LOTDT eventually since I do feel like they had chemistry and the story was good.
As for Chinese Bl yeah they aren't allowed to work together again esp since it is completely banned now after Word of Honor aired. I

Me too. I miss them a lot. You know I know that putting pairings in fixed pairs is not really fair. But at the same time, being an avid Thai BL watcher I'm used to them. I kind of envy that other countries don't do it because when they are favorites most do want to see them together more than once. And sometimes it never happens, sadly. Maybe it shouldn't be infinite like Thailand does it but definitely pair popular actor pairings together once or twice more. That will def make the series more successful. Some Chinese actor pairs have repeated for that reason I suppose so I hope that with ARP and BL it happens too.

I'm reallly hoping that we see them together again. They are very popular in China(from what I've seen) so hopefully it happens.

I think he clicked so well with her because they are similar. I don't think he shares that with anyone else. They are lucky that they got to meet and become close.

Me too. Forget everything and restart it again. Hopefully we get that second BL and ARP drama so at least we can experience them again.
