This drama's pretty ok has a good run till about ep40, after that the writer decided to stretch it out using ridiculous situations feels like it was a different writer.
Sorry but the female lead was not good at all. The actress didn't breathe any life into the character. I thought…
Agreed. The first whole theatre scene was so cringy. I feel like this drama is a step down for LSY considering his past work. This whole drama feels like a big cliche I think the seriousness of it compounds that. No feeling curiosity you even if you know how things will go, not really drawn to continue watching.
I like it so far. Hwang Jeung Eum may have her quirks but at least she's a good actress. Great cast in this drama too, if you're looking for a funny, light Rom Com this looks good,
Parents blackmailing and threatening their kids to get married.. major turn off had to drop this drama. None of the characters were really likeable (not even Dong Wook's could save it). Also boring side characters had to forward most of the episodes not worth watching something not really enjoyable.

Indeed it is. I don't know why people compare it to the recent ones featuring young lead actors. This one is far much better written and honestly a little less annoying.
The first half of ep 1 the female lead was ok after that her acting skills started to show. It's a pretty interesting story but she kinda ruined it for me with her exaggerated expressions and the rest of the fault guess goes to the scriptwriter. She just turned out to be an annoying character and too much angst, noble idiocy just made me fast forward most of her scenes first half of the drama. I don't know why people in this industry ruin female characters this way it's a disservice to the actresses.
1. Han Yang’s “withdrawal” (i.e. being Looney) isn’t actually withdrawal, it’s a conscious affectation.…
@femmedesneignes You may or may not be aware of this but conclusion from your posts above, they're very homophobic
And you obviously know nothing about the world of mental health regarding addiction. it's my profession. Someone so deprived of (most important) attention from parents and ends up developing an emotional attachment especially a romantic one with the first person who accepts and makes them feel like a human being. That happens to the Han Yang character. Someone who knows his romantic preference is unacceptable in the world he lives in but still manages to find love. Withdrawal leaves you cold of course he'll try to seek heat cuddling with people. And being someone who was a loner he felt comfortable enough with his cell mates to be himself even if it was annoying or teasing. We can all agree was never short of humour.
Stg. Yoo's character comments were just feeding your prejudiced side. People trying to get clean from vices have stages.. trying to dry out (intense cold, shivers, thirst, extreme body aches, and malnutrition due to unable to eat due to all that crap) as we saw on our character.
In real life, please do not judge people of a different sexuality from external influence. I won't go into your thoughts but try to remember life is different for everyone. Your Cpt. Yoo from the drama would've been acting from a personal prejudice but you as a person have a responsibility. Be kind.
As far as writing and acting this drama is pretty solid. I think most people disappointed might have been looking for a sunset ending and romance being the dominant theme. It's there, just depends what your definition is. 20 episodes might have been suitable but guess those of us who watched while it aired didn't mind the 24 each weekend was pretty anticipated. The ending was realistic and kinda makes you wonder what will happen next I liked it.
NOOOOOOOO... why did looney went back to drugs after he has quit it urghhhh
I know.. if only someone came to get him when he walked out he wouldn't have fallen into a trap. Like putting a juicy sirloin steak fresh off the grill in front of a starving person who's struggling to be vegetarian. His life might have had a chance with professional help he was almost there.
It's pretty much story over for him poor guy .. had the best sense of humor
The guy who wrote and directed this has been revealed to be a scum bag he's accused of sexual assault by a few women now. The main lead Jo Jae Hyun is also named he did that along with that director sometimes.
Hwang Jung Eum is a pretty decent actress some people like her in some dramas and some don't. Watch the dramas for yourselves don't let people's personal opinions decide for you.
Remember these dramas from these counties, esp the actresses are subject to what they're allowed to express. We've all complained about the female lead in something we've watched.. being too this or too that.
Remember.. they're following a script and director. Those are the people responsible for producing those characters don't blame the actresses.
I liked the story lines about the various couples too, this drama is a good choice if you're looking for a laid back non complicated romance.
