What's with the long drawn out staring stop trying to be like Kdramas you're better than that.
Also apart from a few precious few when will we find stories where one half of the lead characters aren't constantly rude and just jerks to their counterparts. We understand the context of a new feeling suddenly happening and trying to find yourself but it's kinda sad the route almost always has to be this way in these dramas.
I'd say only in the drama "Love by Chance" have we seen something close to a normal reaction in the main leads.
Just to give you a clue how bad this drama is, just watch the credits- all 4 minutes of it... FOUR MINUTES!! That…
I hesitated watching this after reviews and it's one of the few times I was right. This was a stinker. For bl and straight romance. ( I wish this industry would stop making their female characters airheads/stupid/ dumb/shrews). It's a disservice to talented actresses and waste of viewers time who'd like some of quality.
This is the only bl drama I've watched in fast forward so far I find Third's character a little pathetic and khai cruel. The other friend's stories aren't that interesting either it's too predictable like a kdrama. Get treated like crap then love happens and then the end. Feels like there's no real storyline and none of the characters are that likeable.
I wish I didn't have to watch this one in order to continue knock and korn's story in The Next Chapter.
It started out decent and then descended into a mess halfway through. Too many crazy people that are allowed to get away with stupid things till the end. I ended up watching in fast forward from halfway through. The Yihwa from S1 was unrecognisable in her naivety with James while blind the decent guy Cho and annoying investigations that actually ended up contributing to korn & Knock's problems. For a newly in love couple the 2Ks acted way too childishly over things solvable with just talking. Yihwa's two friends were great though esp Dewy. That ending supposed to be a huge twist was just ridiculous I think it was meant to make that whole mess worth it.
These Club Friday dramas are based on real stories by people who talk to someone on a call-in radio show. That's why we see them talking on the phone about what's been happening.
We get to see what's going on in these people's lives, there's no doubt others out there go through the same situations. These guys were bisexual rather than totally gay, it's a group that's misunderstood people tend to assume one must be strictly either gay or straight. It's possible to fall for one particular person of the same gender and not be attracted to any others. Due to societies we live in one is often forced to choose or suppress themselves no matter how they feel inside.
That said I think the actor playing Meng looked a lot like Yoon Kye Sang esp both of them in glasses :)
I think this drama was decently done it was realistic, I guess people who thought otherwise are mostly into the strictly fluffy romance bls. Not everything needs a complete ending this one had an open one and overall the drama had more impact and is much more memorable,
I had dropped this drama on the first episode long ago I guess I wasn't in the right mood. I got curious again and after finishing the 1st ep ended up doing a marathon. The writing is really good and it has the right balance of romance, melodrama and comedy. I have to say the love story of the main leads on this one is one of the most realistic and sweetest I've come across here. I'm glad I picked it up again, definite re-watch.
so if we get a sequel sorry, kido, but I'm still rooting for kijima and kuzumi.
That's right, Kido didn't know how to love Kijima he felt passion for sure but ended up hurting him with it. Kuzumi started out like Kido but he had to unravel his feelings and they ended up developing into true love because he didn't hold back or hate himself. That was Kido's downfall but we can't blame him either.. we have little control over what the heart wants. He found this out a little too late.
Great movie. So, was Amuro that social media friend called Ramba Ral (stranger who suggested guests idea) and initially wanted her as a client just for the wedding guests but he proceeded with planning everything else as it unfolded..? Starting with earring and album then later framing the In-law?
Feeling like I'm the only one not enjoying the show that much :')
The writing seems to be decent but there's just something growing boring about the main leads you can just predict what's going to happen. Also Yoo In Na's character talking with that airhead voice all the time is becoming annoying. This drama is a conflict of decent enough script but not interesting enough.
It was good mostly started out well.. realistically talked about the ups and downs of dating life for a woman. Noda's reaction towards Eriko makes no sense though even more after those mails she circulated everywhere. There's such a thing as being a little too much of a goody two shoes. Also while watching the drama through out I was appalled at the notion that early 30s for a woman is middle age. So 40 yrs old is a pensioner and a decade later a walking corpse..? lol. I like Jdramas they're usually well written but the sexism is a huge turn off.
What a crazy weird funny and sweet movie! Just watch it without putting your own expectations on it and you might be pleasantly surprised. Glad I came across it.
Don't be put off by the episodes number, it's basically 54 episodes. I noticed people of this region (general population) from that time are portrayed as pretty nice compared to other Sageuks I've seen where there's a lot of sexism and general annoying behaviour.
It's an interesting drama to watch if you're in a slump or don't mind investing the time, I found it riveting didn't have to fast forward anywhere.
