That's another unlogic writing. The empress who knows all the rules and stuff in the palace would never do that. Also, if it's continue with that plot , let's say the emperor really really angry and igorne everything, then as I said, when the guard came, SY must be take away and be imprisoned and she would be take to the cold palace immediatly, but she really returned to her own palace, safe and sound. The empress even want to suicide with the sword on scene ? she will left her son alone before all of that ? You can see in the banquet, the empress voice has some weight but then suddenly she became so powerfulness. Not sure how SY will get punishment but logicaly their country must have other noble and clan, and the court too. Punished SY and the Empress will be not that easy. At least they should show the imprisoned and controversy in the court over the accident, more than just let the Empress assume the end of everything.

If you watch other history costume drama, you can see a lot of story like this. The merfolk can easier to take down the Kongsang if she has more power with a son, then hold the court then forward her plan. She also can put an act to miscarriage and blame it to SY, but she just ... die

The emperor has another son with another concubine, you can see him in the banquet, sit next to his mother, and I had no doubt that this concubine also planning to take down the empress and SY too.
I agree with the rest, the story of the empress is quite forced. The emperor already let SY and the empress return to her palace. If they write it like this, right after the merfolk die, the emperor order to put SY into prison and the empress to the cold palace, then the empress try to save SY by fake his death ..etc.. then it will be much more convinced to me. Still the empress must be someone come from a noble family, she will not be overpower like that. The merfolk death is absolutely unreasonable, I wonder if she still alive by some magic but really make no sense to just die like that.

Seem like you are now twisting it as " bashing on her appearance". While I've seen two or three comment like that, almost other comment inclue @Kiie on this one, focus on the FL's character, which make them feel annoying.

@Baebaexin I've seen you and some XZ's fans reply very rude toward others new people who just come here, even some XZ fans who just have different opinion. May be they are not into this drama yet but at least they have some interest. Instead of convince them to try and may be later can change their mind, whatever this is not their favorite genre or type of character, you and some other XZ's fans just make them go way. Not so helpful for your favorite actor/ actress.

Very typicall FL and ML in costumes drama. So far I haven't get into their character yet. But the production is top and the kid portrays young crown prince acts really good. Let's see how this go . At least they will air it quickly. I wonder why, normally big drama with big star like this will be drag for a month and have some break between.

I use youku site version on my computer, and I saw they have download option but I never use them, now my subscription end and I didn't renew them so I don't know if it will work. The problem is some people told me that even you can download them to your computer, if your subscription end, you can't watch them anymore
