I finally watched ep 29 and I don't get why people were saying the FL is soft and weak, and she just wants to…
i can understand zl for killing the dad like that. the older yu threathened him: "now that your mother in law is dead, who's next?" implying that they are going to touch quanhui. that's zl's red line. zl was also very suspicious of the father during the funeral ceremony. look at his eyes in the background, looking at the father acting, looking at the mother in law in the coffin; his eyes were burning, though he said nothing. so i believe he was suspicious of the father, though he didn't know the yus were behind it until yu told him so.
tingyun actually likes rose pastry but yu totally misunderstood about hubing (flatbread) isnβt it zhaolings…
i've been wondering too, what gives yjx the idea that quanhui (ty) likes hubing? i don't remember her craving for hubing at all. she ate only when she and zl were on the run.
Seeing the rating so high, in between dramas, I was thinking of picking this up. Your review gives me pause. I believe I would come to the same conclusions as you did, since I can hardly tolerate the flaws that you pointed out. Thanks for your wonderful review, which saves me hours of watching a show that I know I'm not going to like.
so that obnoxious yjx is now reduced to a brooding little brat. i bet if he gets a piece of the flatbread made by quanhui (tingyun), he wouldn't eat it but frame it up like a piece of artwork, fantasizing whatever in his sour little mind π€£
i was hoping yjx gets some sense and comes to help zl and tingyun from his parents' schemes. but then, he's also an evil person, framing an innocent tingyun like that. so, no hope for him. let him burn with his parents and wife.
What type of ending do you think is best suited for someone like Fan Yake?
yake reminds me so much of so many people around, especially in politics and in the corporate world. her ending? she loses everything she treasures: wealth, standing (face). for her, this is worse than death itself.
