So far, we have not seen the real Mowan yet. We don't know how she's like. Seemingly, she's an introvert, staying at home all the time. But I believe later, the story may reveal the actual Mowan (probably in flashback) how she has acquired that book-keeping documents on the Dou's. It also appears that she's brave (she barges into the palace to reveal the scheme to her sister the Empress). Then we can compare the actual Mowan with the present one possessed by Moxin.

In episode 1 during the switches of bodies, we did see something from Mowan goes into Moxin's body. I would assume that is Mowan's spirit, but her (Mowan's) memories remain (partially?) within her brain. We know Mowan loves Ye Junqing but at this point, we don't know if it's the Moxin or Mowan part that loves him (or both?) I do support your assumption that it is the Mowan part that loves Ye Junqing; Moxin seems to treat him as a platonic friend.

We have very sadistic writers here trying hard to pry out viewers' tears and heartaches. I believe their purpose (all the crying and heartache stuff) is to build up to the final catharsis. They may have overdone it :C

It is indeed very ambiguous. When Mowan finds Moxin's body, it's mentioned that Mowan now has both Moxin's and Mowan's memories. I believe the soul/spirit inside Mowan is also Moxin's because of the voodoo craft that her best friend (the foreign princess) has performed on themselves (so that they can feel each other's soul). So at this point, I believe Mowan's and Moxin's spirits have switched bodies, and Mowan is probably dead with Moxin's body even though the body is not being buried (the powerful ones like to keep dead bodies).

More cat fights. I needed to hold my breath watching these without screaming at my screen because these bitches fight over the most trivial matters, and my life would have been shortened by 20 years had I lived in those times enduring their excessive cringiness.

Did that prick sleep with her on her birthday? I'm about to smoke out the cockroaches :(

I've been worrying that Xiao Chengrui would eventually force himself on Helan Mingyu, especially when he threatens the life of Xiao Chengxu. I believe Mingyu would relent so that this prick Emperor would not harm Chengxu.

Su Yuying is not only a spoiled brat but a devious one too. How could she think Chengxu would ever put his eyes on her given he's such a kind soul and she's a cruel devil. Poor Chengxu being forced into such a situation, walking on thin ice, feeling helpless and hopeless all the time.

It's really ironic that many husbands still think their wives should love them whole-heartedly but they don't have to reciprocate; the rate of men have extra-marital affairs is higher than women, and their action is usually blamed on the women, eg. wives not meeting their needs etc, but rarely on themselves for being a jerk.

I am hoping the child is from Helan Mingyu's sister, Helan Wanyin, and the Emperor. With her character like this, she has to die, and the child be raised by Mingyu.
