Why are all these girls, except Niao2 and Qi2, so bratty? Even grandmas are bratty. Really have to look at them with a sense of humor, otherwise one can vomit blood :D

Bad as she is in the modern eyes, the mom is a very misunderstood mom. Her sin is being over protective for her precious daughter. Everything she's done thus far is to protect her child, just like any modern parents, and being totally taken differently by their kids.

Sometimes I ask, what's the point of becoming gods if their behavior is just like men or worse? I find this drama so unbearable. I'm dropping too. Can't even finish 3 episodes.

For Oath of Love, I lasted 6 episodes, for this one, I couldn't even finished 3 episodes. You're right, Yang Zi is a pain, her character is so unbearable. Dropped!

Yes, Huli is Lu Qingnian. In Chinese, huli has the same homophone as fox, which Li Sasa nicknames Lu Qingnian. He didn't reincarnate but teleported or time-travelled with the help of that magical ancient musical script that the Emperor gave him. When he first opened the book, it said so on the first page, "One can go where one wishes to go".

Yes, he knows Li Sasa is his love, as in the final second, he calls her, "little fox" (xiao huli).

Li Sasa is suspicious after reading his script which he wants her to be the lead of the musical play, and she accepts the offer. Then he calls her xiao huli, by which he has always called her in the other dimension. So she knows he is him.

The Story of Xingfu is not for everyone because it doesn't have any romance nor exciting plot, but a portrayal of life in the rural areas. Only viewers like you and I appreciate such stories :D

This is a super long story. There are altogether 3 seasons. No one knows if they are still shooting season 2, I'm not following what is actually happening.

I guess you can say the romance is lacking because ML and FL don't spend a lot of time together nor looking into each other's eyes, nor loving life and death of each other. I'm also not particularly impressed by the FL who seems rather weak as of now. Then, there's another girl who seems to fancy ML and ML is rather fond of her. So, romance wise, that's not the story as of season 1.

Actually the mother is not horrible, there were even more horrible ones who totally didn't love their daughters at all. Those horrible ones could sell their daughters to some old men for wives or to the brothels. The mother is a rather typical mother of the old days, strict and never shows her love because she feels showing love would spoil the child

You need to understand a mother's heart of the old days. Mothers today are slaves to their children :D

This story is dark whereas The Autumn Ballad is more delightful. The relationship is also more toxic here for many viewers, whereas TAB makes you feel good because the ML is very good. The FL does marry the SML but it is only a one-sided love and the SML uses the marriage to protect the FL; it's a marriage by name only and they divorce later so it doesn't leave a bad taste. The love story here is very sad, but it's worth to watch. Just have a happy drama ready when you finish this one :)

ML is Wang Dalu not Xiao Zhan, so yes, he has a lot of screen time with FL and their romance is very good.
