Title Love Behind the Melody Spoiler
This is my interpretation of the ending:
... and in his present life, Lu Jingnian is called Hu Li which has the same homophone as "fox". Brilliant! :D

Review Love Behind the Melody Spoiler
This is my interpretation of the ending:
The more I think about it, the more I feel the ending is brilliant. Not only it puts our main couple back together again, it also resolves the Emperor's predicament whether to execute Lu Jingnian or not, as according to the law, Lu Jingniang should be executed for what he has done.

Review Love Behind the Melody Spoiler
This is my interpretation of the ending:
So viewers, don't be despair. Lu Jingnian didn't die. He just teleported to present day through playing the music from the magical script, similar to how Li Sasa came to him while playing her pipa. This time, he wouldn't be like Li Sasa; there's no return, so he wouldn't disappear into oblivion like Li Sasa did.

Again the same formula around the ending , why FL leaves ML? ok she seems desappear but the communication is the…
She leaves him because she doesn't want him to see her disappear into oblivion. She knows he will follow her in death, as indicated his father followed his mother in death and he's like his father. She thinks if she rejects him, he may feel she's not worthwhile to die for.

Review Love Behind the Melody Spoiler
This is my interpretation of the ending:
The Emperor gives Lu Jingnian second half of an ancient musical script that says 歸人當歸去向所去which literally means "go where you wish to go". The Emperor also hints, "Go and never return". The book has magical power that would take Lu Jingnian anywhere he wants to go.

I just started watching this, but I've read some conflicting reviews. You didn't like this historical romance…
The Autumn Ballad is very good in terms of romance but ruined by the haphazard ending. The Long Ballad's romance is pretty good too but not as good as The Autumn Ballad. Furthermore, The Long Ballad is ruined by the fighting scenes which are basically in comic drawing form. The Wolf is good but the relationship is rather toxic for some viewers. So I would recommend The Autumn Ballad first, then followed by the other two :)

This drama is very cute, and Zhang Binbin is so good looking. But it comes apart after the second half. Try the Autumn Ballad and A Dream of Splendor.

I love romance stories with romantic scenes. I might give this one a try after reading your review. So far, I…
I couldn't get into Ren Jialun's dramas before this one too. But he looks exquisite in this one.

Review A Dream of Splendor Spoiler
Yes, if you search under Zhao Pan'er, you can see all the related movies, dramas etc.
Indeed, they're all very good, portraying women need to be strong and independent, and not relying on the men who may let them down. Even in this new version, Zhao Pan'er has thought Gu Qianfan lets her down (he disappears without telling her and she doesn't know he leaves her the money for her restaurant investment), so she has to be strong herself to overcome her obstacles.
