Yes, I'm one of those to call Allen Ren a sour face :D Please don't take offense. I didn't like his previous dramas because of that sour face. But after Under the Power, I came to love that face so much. And like you say, he portrays every emotion very well, I come to realize. He's very charismatic. Now I'm a fan.
Hairstylist for lead guy character should rethink about his/her job.
IKR, can't stand his hair poking his eyes for the whole length of the drama (except the award scene). My eyes feel tired :/ This hair style makes him look like an adolescent, not that he doesn't look like one already :D
As always, fantastic review. Are you sure you're not a professional reviewer? I love your insights and your analysis. Takes a lot of brain work which I don't have. For me, I forget what I watched 2 days ago, let alone the intricacies among the characters. I may even get them mixed up with characters from different dramas. Attribute that to, ...., yeah, you guess it, old age XD. Anyway, bravo!
OMG, totally agree with you about Wu Lei. Even in Fights Break Sphere he wasn’t quite grown up. It was initially…
I feel you :D I just completed another fine historical drama recently. If you like Xu Kai, do check out Court Lady. Just don't take it seriously, but it's really funny and dark, and a great watch.
Oh boy! Why don't we get to see the end game of the devil? Why doesn't the director give us the satisfaction of seeing the smirk wiped off her shitty face (you know whom I mean)? She's got off too easily. The editing seems choppy for episode 47.
sigh...the last few episodes -- since episode 28 and onwards -- I've been crying so much while watching the 2…
Yes, watching someone dying and can't do anything is the most painful experience. I feel like Jiang Xiao Ning too after she speaks to the heart doctor. That's a very touching scene when she breaks down.
