Your short performance of Episode 1 in IG was very promising and I'm looking forward to the rest of your new project as Shin Jung Tae. So proud of my bias!
I've just completed the first episode of this action-packed drama and it was an awesome start. The storyline is very well crafted, the casting's performance is exceptional and the high-budget cinematography wraps it all up into a riveting drama gift, with a pretty bow on top. KHJ has come a long way as an actor, I'm so proud of him, but Kwak Dong Yun is seriously contending with my bias.
Kwak Dong Yun is so awesome that I don't want KHJ to take over =(
Their resemblance was remarkable! I adore KHJ but Kwak Dong Yun's performance is amazing as teen Jong Tae and I'm itching for both to be in the same scene together lol. J/K
I got bored after 4 episodes of this story. Not even the cute, comical facial expressions of Jiro and the handsome hotness of Wu Chun could make me ignore Ella Chen's acting.
So glad I gave this Taiwanese version a chance because I love it more than PK. Him Hyun Joong was better eye candy but the Kdrama version had no room for character development and I couldn't help but be at a loss when I finished watching it. ISWAK gave me the closure that I needed for this love story.
Let me start off by stating that I almost dropped this drama due to Koo Hye Sun "cute & perky" acting and dubbing (I didn't like her in BOF either) but Jiro (beautiful eye candy) helped me ignore her. She wasn't as annoying towards the end and now I'm glad I completed this drama. I absolutely love the ending! It's sad, yet bittersweet, for the main couple but I wouldn't have it any other way.
I totally recommend if you like Jiro Wang, he perfectly portrayed this character. It was a good thing Wu Chun dropped the role for his buddy since it was so fitting for Jiro. The man looks like he was carved out of stone! Jiro also lends his voice to two addicting songs on the accompanying soundtrack. The rest of the songs are equally beautiful.
Now that I know how this story plays out, I'm hoping a Korean version will be produced with T.O.P. as the male lead. I would have a non-stop nosebleed!
Although I hated "You're Beautiful", Jiro Wang as the male lead of this Taiwanese version changed my reception of this predictable story. I especially loved every moment of his jealousy. I rated "Fabulous Boys" with a 7.
I finally caved into watching Taiwanese dramas again and discovered Jiro a few days ago in "Together", recently finished "Fabulous Boys", and now starting "Absolute Boyfriend". He's much cuter with longer hair but his voice is captivating and I'm on a Wang Jiro marathon!
