A worthwhile romcom to watch! The main cast did great! So Yong was the sassy modern chef and I liked how her relationship with CheolJong grew over the series. It was cute and made me laugh. Damn Byeong In really just got tossed away like that huh (even though I thought his eyes were expressionless 100% of the time, ngl I ugly cried when he sacrificed himself for SY to run away). I was thinking his dad adopted him because he was disposable yeesh...in a sense KGJ wanted to be king but couldn't make it happen? I'm glad the writers let Hwa Jin redeem herself too from getting too swayed by the palace politics.
Original plot, amazing acting, sizzling chemistry and a deep-feeling but hilarious watch. I loved this drama.…
The ending felt a bit "huh" to me too. I got a bit of closure from watching the epilogue (search for it on Y0utube), it gives a look into what kind of person So Yong was before she decided to yeet herself into the lake. Someone mentioned a theory that it was two souls sharing one body as in Bong Hwan's free spirited attitude allowed her to break out of her own shell in a sense. Like the time when Bong Hwan couldn't remember their "steamy" first night and maybe So Yong had taken over that time? That's the thought I'm going with.
I haven't watched this yet but from the comments some people were "unsatisfied" with hye sun's acting. As a someone…
I think she was great! She was acting as two souls in one body, both so yong and bong hwan. I thought she portrayed her character with great expressions
i felt like it was alright. um a bit of manipulation...it's not stockholm syndrome right? happy ending which i like. the plot felt a bit meh to me so i skipped around the episodes. 29 episodes felt like too much for the plot they were going for.
comedy was alright, i always love a good con movie! man that plot twist at the end got me! i didn't even see it coming cuz i was so focused on the main con that was shown to us!
i had no expectations while watching this but MAN it was so wholesome! a very forward thinking plot during these times. the main couple was so lovely to watch. they were so wholesome together!
whoa. that was one heck of a emotional roller coaster ride. i mean i didn't cry but my heart was pumping out of my chest watching some of these scenes. i never knew what would happen next. the plot did great in exploring the gray area between what is considered morally black and white deeds...man the actors did a phenomenal job at their roles especially the male lead...there were some intense scenes with a lot of raw emotion and he delivered
I waited until it finished airing before watching it and binged it in 3 days. It is definitely a drama to remember that's for sure! From the first episode, I couldn't help but wonder what would happen next and how the characters would react to the situations and (felt like) many setbacks. I loved the process of how relationships formed and grew and were nurtured...it was wholesome to watch and I was smiling at the screen half the time from the cute-ness (but also ugly crying during emotional scenes)...and squealing during "hot" scenes ;)
