i agree with that abt real life scenario ,, n im not gonna make a 'fiction ≠ reality' argument because thats not actually got any use ,, yes i totally think it would be a red flag in real life . as someone else said ,, i think he is somewhat neurodivergent or has said complex // trauma (coming from a neurodivergent person myself ,, he really gave me those signs) and while i do believe you are on the right lines i dont think it isnt something kiyoi couldnt handle ,, and i think theres really nothing (dangerous) hira would do from what i felt from his personality . but then again i wouldnt specifically classify it as 'obsession' ,, it was never something really 'irresistible' for hira ,, as he felt like he would never tell kiyoi ,, n he managed to hold his feelings back most of the time . compared to other examples of 'obsession' seen in bl dramas its truly very innocent ,, e.g addicted (in which gu hai r*ped yin zi and attempted to ,, multiple times) ,, color rush (in which yeonwoon attempted to h4ng himself) etc etc thats just some more mainstream examples . im not disagreeing w you ,, because you did make some good points ,, but in my opinion its more lighthearted (not lighthearted but innocent w innocent intentions as we ,, the viewers know) yk . /lh (i apologise for using tone indicators in every reply i just dont want to be misunderstood)
