Just watch the plane scene in ep 7 and you'll see for yourself

Those of us who've been following him for years know how good he can be so it's incredibly frustrating. I don't think these stoic male leads are hitting his sweet spot as an actor. He's better when he gets to be a little chaotic.

It was her behavior when she found out he was planning on moving back to the US. She had the best job of her life with a boss who respected her and helped her shine in front of senior management but she quit when she wasn't even dating the dude and hadn't confirmed with him that he was actually moving. Plus her behavior made things uncomfortable for her teammates and ruined their team retreat. Childish, selfish and unprofessional.

I dropped after ep 6 because I thought the FL's behavior was immature and unprofessional but a lot of people disagreed with me at that time. So it's interesting to suddenly see a lot of people complaining about her immaturity after ep 8. I wonder why this is the trigger point but the trigger point that set me off didn't put off most people.

I've felt this way about a few male leads like Heo Nam Jun and Liu Yuning. Not conventionally handsome but charismatic and sexy as hell. Tho personally I really love SIG's foxy eyes and full lips 😏

People say it's westernization of k-dramas but people in Korea enjoy watching western shows, in fact they're perceived to be better than Korean shows. so I don't know if it's westernization or if the society is simply changing.

ETA: also keep in mind that Korea is heavily politically and socially polarized right now. The conservatives are very angry because of Yoon being impeached and imprisoned. Meanwhile young women turned out by the tens of thousands with their K-pop light sticks to call for his removal. It's hard to make a sweeping statement about Korean society under these circumstances.

There are love motels all over Seoul so I think that a lot of that is an act 😅 there was a recent super fluffy drama that had the second leads going to a love motel before they were even properly dating.

I agree with you, most generative AI is mediocre and is very few creators who know how to use it to make something interesting. Mostly it's a lot of lazy slop

Actually plenty of older dramas had scenes that were just as racy. Hotel King with Lee Dong Wook is one that comes to mind. But in 2007 a right wing conservative president was elected and his government founded an agency to regulate media. That's when kdramas became very conservative with lips barely touching.

The kdramas that air on cable and streaming have more freedom because they aren't regulated the way dramas that air on TV are.

Especially when she's still wearing her work clothes! And why close the door when no one else is in the apartment 😂😂

I agree with you, the drama feels really flat like not much is happening and they have to go for manufactured drama. Huge disappointment because I love Seo In Guk and I find his character refreshing (man falls in love with woman because she's an engineering geek who's passionate about her job, love that). But I don't see the chemistry between the leads and her behavior in ep 6 was incredibly unprofessional and immature. I don't like a character who thoughtlessly causes problems for her whole team just because she's struggling with her feelings.

Actually I think I'm going to drop after episode 6. Sorry SIG, I love you and I hope to get to see you in a drama I like better than this one.

I agree with you, I really disliked her for making things so incredibly uncomfortable for her teammates. We basically watched her throw an hour long tantrum. If he had any sense, her behavior would've killed his feelings for her.

His range is huge, he made Shopping King Louie and The Smile Has Left Your Eyes back to back and those dramas are like the opposite of each other. He also played a sociopath prisoner in Project Wolfhunting. He's legit a great actor but I don't think he gets enough credit for it. He's never had a straight path in his career.

I thought it was ridiculous. She's been set up as someone who's passionate about her work so why would she do something so crazy just because she has a crush on the team lead? Especially because he's been a dream boss, giving her interesting work and putting her on stage in front of the higher ups so she can get their attention and shine.

Right now the task force is her job. She's quitting the best opportunity she's ever had at that company with a boss who treats her respectfully because he's planning on moving to New York? When they're not even dating? It's very contrived, especially since she's been established as someone who really cares about doing good work.

That so-called problem annoyed the hell out of me. They are both in their 30s with the communication skills of teenagers.

I feel the same way so I finally decided to drop. There's no plot and the barriers to them dating feel very contrived. A 30-something woman decides to quit her job without discussing it with anyone because she found out her boss is planning on returning to NY? it's all so tedious and boring.

I also thought it was weird having both female leads pass out like that.

Ep 4: I have such mixed feelings about this drama. I like the chemistry between them and I love that his love language is boosting her at work and making sure her talent is recognized. But the editing is very strange, there are jumps between scenes that don't make a lot of sense and there isn't much of a plot. There's not really any reason for them not to date each other except she's reporting to him but it seems like the task force is temporary so they could date after the project is completed.

Also I have zero interest in the 2FL's story. Do not care at all.

Her father being the ML's mentor was predictable and cheesy.

The scene with her period cramps was very strange too. She was delirious from pain to the point of thinking it was her ex in her apartment instead of the ML. If she knows she has cramps that bad, she should've made sure she had her meds or gone out and bought some once she realize she'd left them home or left early and worked from home to get her meds and prepare for the presentation. The whole thing was dumb. I guess it was an excuse for the ML to take care of her but ehhhhhh it didn't really work for me.

I did love their lunch after the presentation where he makes sure she eats healthy food and doesn't take her meds on an empty stomach. The best moments of the drama are always when the leads are working together or sharing a meal.

Overall, this is still a little flat for me and I'm only sticking around because of Seo In Guk and how his character is written. The FL is alright. The plot is a big nothing.
