I was thinking that even if the kdrama is a flop, the actors have nothing to lose. They're so well known, especially…
Unfortunately, they do have a problem because a lot of their value comes from the viewers they attract to a project. If LMH and GHJ's star power wasn't enough to bring people to this project, it means fewer projects for them to choose from and lower salaries for their next projects. There's also a lot of fear that LMH's upcoming film adaptation of the Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint manhwa is going to be another flop given the poor reaction to the trailer - fewer than 679K views on the official YouTube channel after four days: https://youtu.be/YRIW33DftIM?si=YdRJNiyf3YCQsKWM
One of the wildest things about this drama is pretty much every character is morally bankrupt with no redemption arc. The entire space crew, *including the FL*, stood there and watched Kang Su take the fall for the morulas when they were all guilty of the same thing. Ryong also said nothing. The only character who maybe kinda sorta has a redemption arc is Kang Su because he didn't rat out anyone else when he went down and he sincerely loves and respects Go Eun. It's stunning how there's no one to root for.
I know it's early, but this drama feels like the biggest disappointment of 2025.
Not just 2025, this drama is so bad that it has dragged down the entire industry with it. It's literally going to change what we see in the next few years. Production companies are going to make more mid-budget romances with actors who aren't big names and they're going to have fewer episodes. Whatever they can do to keep down costs.
1. Is Gong wearing CROCKS? Well, that's a fashion crime deserving 2 years in prison.2. What took him so long?…
Gong Ryong totally deserves whatever he gets.
After all the pro-natalist messaging it would be bizarre if no one was pregnant or successful at birthing by the end of the show. Not the mice, not the SIL, not Eve. Seriously so weird.
💯💯💯 agree with you. The pro-natalist agenda is as subtle as a brick to the forehead. I say pro-natalist because these people are only "pro-life" when it comes to morulas, they aren't pro-women's lives.
In Ep. 13 tere is a weird conversation that Eve's bio mom has with Eve, when she goes to see if Eve was abandoned in a taxi (because we know the mom abandoned her baby in a taxi on Christmas Eve), and Eve tells her no, but then does a DNA test (using the mug mom was drinking from when they talked). But the weird bit is the mom saying something like she was resentful she got pregnant, she never felt like the baby's mom, she worked in a bar and her life was being ruined by her breast's leaking. Why would the writer make the bio mom say such terrible things?
1. WTF Mom? That's not the way you announce yourself to your abandoned child. Way to make the child feel like…
Kang Su's being treated like the villain. Meanwhile he didn't narc on any of those hypocrites when he could've taken them all down with him. Plus they had the nerve to be in the room when he was punished which was super weird, who lets coworkers into the room when someone is fired? But Oh Jung Se rises, always
I thought it was a mostly pleasant drama that won't stay with me. But I didn't like how they handled the Peoplez…
She quit without speaking to her partners and left her employees behind to work for someone evil. Yes they quit but then that meant they were scrambling for jobs with no support from her. I know it wasn't meant to be that serious but I couldn't get into her scenes hanging out with Eun Ho because I kept thinking your former employees are out of work and scrambling for jobs! They probably can't pay the rent!
