There was a teaser that was drastically different from the final product, like a completely different storyline. So it seems like a bait and switch for the actors.

Why not both?

This teaser is so different from the end product that my conspiracy brain is conjecturing that a right-wing billionaire dumped a huge amount of money on the production so they would rewrite the script. That's the only way I can explain the changes and the pro birth messaging.

Eve dying is the last fucking straw for me. These forced birth assholes don't care about women's lives. The pee test is accurate in 10 days and the blood test is accurate in 7 days. There's no way they wouldn't have figured out she was pregnant before she went up.

I thought about giving this a 7.5 but I went with 8 in the end because I loved it up to episode 6 but it definitely got draggy and repetitive after that and also too preachy. I'd still recommend this to people because it was really fun at the start and the less good second half wasn't enough to sink it for me.

I knew Eve was getting pregnant from ep 1 (her name! the apple in the post credits sequence!) but they dragged it out until ep 15 with the most threadbare and ridiculous plot. Also! IRL female astronauts have to take pregnancy tests before going into space so more bad science

I'm pretty sure it's lost more money than any other drama. Most expensive drama ever and low ratings mean no chances to claw back the budget.

LMH is the center of the drama. His acting is fine, it's the writing that's garbage

The sfx are good too. This is a great example of how important writing is to a drama. Bad writing will sink absolutely everything else.
