She is such an incredible actress. I was awed by her in Sky Castle, then Extraordinary You, and now Lovely Runner. During EOY and even LR now, I see some comments that she overacts, like when she's angry. But that's like how a lot of Korean people literally are. My husband is half Korean, and he's super close to his Korean grandma, so we spend a lot of time with her. She's way more fiery and loud than KHY when she's angry 🤣

The way he genuinely cheered with the fan is so adorable 🥰

I am of the camp that he has at least tried to date. According to Sol, he's had dating scandals in the past and he has said before a girl and a guy can't just be friends. I think those dates just never amounted to anything. He probably ended things quick/early. He also didn't directly answer her when she asked why he's so good at putting the necklace on now and whether he's had a lot of experience. If he never dated, I feel like he'd be quick to yell out he didn't to defend his oxygen purity 😂

That's an assumption, and I totally respect your opinion that it's an 8.5 drama to you. I actually think 8.5 is a pretty good rating too. I actually just created this account so I can chat about the drama, so I don't know like what is a super good rating vs bad. It just seems like it's less than a 1.0 difference.

Of course you can add anything you like. Public forum here. I agree with you, and I will say there are bad actors on both sides. In a perfect world, I hope we can all be civil with each other. At the end of the day, it's just a drama and people should be able to have different opinions. Just because I like it or you don't, neither one of us has "poor" taste, just "different" taste. I watch dramas to be happy, not to have online fights 😅

The initial encounter was just that she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. When she traveled back in time, she didn't remember what happened, so she didn't know to avoid him and therefore, she still ended up crossing paths with him. Afterwards, she became the one that got away, the one who saw his face, and the one who gave his info to the police to get him arrested. So it became an even more personal vendetta over time.

I'm cool with the ones with constructive criticism and have multiple posts responding to their OPs or just defending their point of view. The ones who are condescending and basically implying people who like this drama are immature or dumb is another story, but I also think they're a lost cause. The other ones I don't understand are... there are also a couple of usernames I've started to recognize that randomly respond to other people's posts hating on it when they've already made their complaint known previously. Why are you still here lurking on a comment section of a show you claim is frustrating? Go to the dramas you love and be happy. I live here because this drama makes me happy 😅

I agree with you that it seemed like the writer didn't address it enough. It was also something she added and wasn't part of the webtoon, so to add it and then not explore it was kind of a negative. I will say with the small glimpses we did get, I did appreciate how positive Sol was in her 30s despite the wheel chair. She didn't let her disability stop her from living her life to the fullest. She still went and applied for jobs trying to achieve her dreams. She still went to concerts. At least, based on what we know now, I think SJ still loved her in the original time line even when she was in the wheel chair.

I want to preface this with the fact that I'm cool with the negative reviews and comments that this drama is overrated according to them. I generally don't engage in those and just let people unleash their frustration because this is a public forum and people are entitled to their opinions. The drama is a far cry from perfect, and I don't have a problem with having healthy discourse on it. The following is just a general observation and not isolated to LR.

The thing I don't quite get is when people say MDL ratings are "inaccurate" (maybe a language barrier thing, I don't know). But MDL ratings aren't based on any algorithms that cater to your individual taste. It's not like a twitter feed that sends you more tweets based on what you've clicked on, read, or liked. The ratings are from thousands of people who rate based on their individual taste. So most likely, the ratings on this site won't align with what you think it should be a majority of the time. I just don't think there should be an expectation of "accuracy" since ratings are all subjective anyway.

Different strokes for different folks, and everyone is entitled to their opinion in their own review. No one drama is going to be beloved by everyone 🙂 I personally have really enjoyed this drama though.
