I also think it's interesting that xue li's 狸 is the same as 狸猫 (Li Mao - wild cat). I believe the Duke at least on one occasion called her 小狸猫. There's a Chinese saying called 狸猫换太子, which originated from a tale where a baby prince was replaced by a wild cat due to palace scheming. There's a lot more to the story, but basically the saying means you secretly replaced something with something else that the person didn't want. This is reflective of her current situation where she replaced Jiang Li without anyone knowing.

I'm actively trying to ignore because I don't want to give them the attention they so crave. ATP it's no longer about having their own opinion but just coming here to get a reaction out of people. But I do hope that while people are defending KHY (or BWS), they're not inadvertently insulting or demeaning the other's contribution or achievement. They both speak highly of each other and seem to have a very close friendship, so I hope solo fans of both sides (and fans of the CP) continue supporting them both.

The way I interpreted it was it started off just with Sol being in the wrong place wrong time. Just a random victim. When she started going back in time, she still cross paths with the killer but the drunk guy saved her, and she dropped her phone. Because of the phone, and grandma made it easy by giving them their address, he locked her in at the next target. Then when he tried to kidnap her again, she got away, saw his face, so he needed to eliminate her. He found her again in 2009, SJ saved her, and put the guy away to jail finally. But he resented them for getting him caught so when he was released, he went to exact his revenge on SJ (ep 8). The third time she traveled back to her college days, the kidnapping was still going to happen, but she fed the police a lot of info. When the cops caught the killer, the killer overheard Taesung's dad/police say Im Sol's name and thanking her for helping them. Then he escaped, and knew it was her fault that the police found him. So it became a personal vendetta to get her. It always started as a random event, but became personal when they got him caught in some way or another. In the final timeline, he never targets them since Sol moved away. SJ just accidentally got in the way on the road while he was trying to escape Taesung's chase.
I had really low expectations going into this drama, mostly because Yu Zheng is hit or miss (and he's crazy). But I'm really enjoying it so far. I got all caught up in like 2-3 days! This show is addictive and this one episode a day at the second half of the week should be a crime!
I really like Ye Shijie. I've never seen him in any drama before and find him quite handsome. I don't have second lead syndrome though because Xiao Heng is just too charming 🥰 Liu Xiening surprised me, since I have this impression that member of idol groups are usually very mediocre actors. But her playing this spoilt daughter is very believable so far. Kong Xueer hasn't had much screen time, but she was stunning when she appeared. I am also impressed by Chen Qiaoen's villain role. Everything I've seen her in in the past, she was always the sweet wonderful heroine. I never knew she was this amazing of an actress. Also, Ai Mi must be the cutest maid ever. I love her in every single drama she's been in even though she's just supporting.

As someone who's dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's last year, what grandma said to Sol near the end was a bit healing. He's not as happy go lucky as grandma and he's definitely deteriorating. But imagining that my dad is just "traveling through time" and revisiting his past is so much more comforting than just thinking he's forgotten about me.
Say what you will about this drama and its characters, I still think there are some very healing messages within.
