Adult person suhould be able to resolve his'her problem communicating with other people not by cmmiting a crime. Mistake don't happend, mistake are made by people, and a person, wjo make mistake, should bear the consequences of his/her actions. He did't care about his son, there isn't any single action confirming that he care. If he was so happy to meet his son, why he didn't show up? He only made his son dissapointed.
