Why is this drama so over hyped? I mean yeah the plot seems great in the beginning but it got dragged like a lot…
I can see how this is appealing as a wish-fulfillment fantasy. You, too, can be a middle-aged woman with a terrible personality but you can still hook a young hottie with superpowers if you cry, get drunk and rage enough . . .

This one one of the dramas that got me hooked on the kdrama world. I loved that little robot lad.
On My Love Eun Dong Jun 21, 2021
The cameos/guest roles read like a who's who of current leads - Na in Woo, Park Jin-young, Jang Ki-yong and even Dong Ha . . .

Title My Love Eun Dong Spoiler
well I don't agree with cheating but Jae Ho and the parents were the awful ones who took advantage of the poor…
I'm pretty sure that a marriage where consent is obtained fraudulently or under duress is considered invalid/void/voidable. So in that sense she wasn't cheating at all.

The first priority of FL once regaining memories should've been getting a divorce and finding out her son's biological…

The description above is a bit misleading. It says "There, Young witnesses Joon's violent behavior and accidentally vomits on him." One, there was no 'violence' on his part - she misinterpreted what she saw because she was drunk at an event she was covering for work. She then proceeded to vomit on him (because she was drunk, not 'accidentally'), scream at him for no discernible reason, and then when he walked away from this drunken, screaming woman, threw a spike heeled shoe at his head so hard it caused damage.

Why can't I find anything about the dethroned king on google? is this fiction?
Yes, it's fiction. The 19th century saw no Korean king trying to take science and technology to the people or trying to develop Korean books. None tried to apply the French motto "Everyone is born free and equal" and consequently nobody was ever dethroned on that basis. Also, no female historian was ever recruited during the whole Joseon period (1392-1897).

My opinion is divided on this "toxicity" you speak of. I'm not interested in a dramaland where ONLY weak/strong…
Agree to disagree. I think her character is wholly unsympathetic and the number one reason I drop dramas is the screechy drunk FL thing.
Normie92 Jun 13, 2021
It's not that romance is offputting but the overreliance on tropes, some of them quite toxic, that makes a lot of people (myself included) balk. MLFTS is a perfect example of this - telling us that a romantic heroine has to be a shrieky, narcissistic, alcoholic who's dumb as a box of hair.
On Love Is Phantom Jun 12, 2021
OK, so maybe a cultural thing that I'm missing but why does the FL quite often start randomly shouting?

Why can’t we have a smart and strong female lead in these kinds of dramas without them being obnoxiously loud…
That's my main beef with the trope. Strong/independent/quirky women are so often portrayed as screechy, violent, neurotic alcoholics. I think the writers need to leave their Mums' basements now and then and meet some real women.
