Tan Jianci is already a star and a rising liuliang thanks to 1) Under The Skin being the #2 Cdrama in terms of cumulative online views in 2022 and being a pseudo BL 2) His hosting role on Hello Saturday guaranteeing him weekly appearances on TV 3) Xiangliu being another iconic role and him gaining the most fans and discussions out of the entire LYF cast. I don't even like liuliangs but he deserves it and is a good actor.

Many people myself included think he is one of the most talented post90 gen actors. I first saw him in Advisor's Alliance and was surprised he never went to acting college. He had a hard time getting lead roles in S+ dramas previously due to his skinny frame and idol background, in China it's very hard to convince investors to back a drama unless the lead actors are popular or proven actors. Luckily TJC scored a hit drama he led in Under The Skin and followed up with another hit role in Xiangliu. Apparently Yangzi's dad (which means it's Yangzi herself lol since it's the millions she earned from acting) invested in TJC's next drama Go East and was seen at the booting ceremony.

Tan Jianci (and his fellow MIC idol groupmate Xiao Shunyao) were both signed under top actor Wu Xiubo's agency and TJC got many side roles in historical dramas that Wu Xiubo acted in like Adviser's Allliance, Secret of The Three Kingdoms, or Winter Begonia. That was how he started his acting career and learnt from way older actors. Unfortunately Wu Xiubo got into a huge affair scandal and retired from entertainment after he got widely criticized for suing his mistress. I'm actually not sure which agency TJC is now under but he's doing well to upgrade to 1ML roles considering his BL drama Winner Is King hasn't aired. He's very lucky Under The Skin was the #2 Cdrama of 2022 in terms of cumulative online views.

Jin Han is known for his PLA military background, his parents are higher ups in the PLA and quite rich so even if he never went to acting school and looks quite villainous (yes he looks like a scumbag and should stick to 2ML roles) he still gets 1ML roles due to his connections.
FYI he used to date Zhang Zhixi (who is an actress known for being rich enough to buy popular novel IP rights) and when they had relationship disputes she released their chatlogs which made him look very scummy and made references to his CCP/PLA parents so I can't stand him 🙄 I'm just sad that Tan Jianci had to act as a 2ML as recently as 2020 when IMO he did a great job in Adviser's Alliance.

Jeff Chang the Taiwanese singer publically backed YaoJing at one of his concerts last week lol, Austin Li Jiaqi the top ecommerce host also kept mentioning LYF in his live broadcasts. LYF is slated to overtake TTEOTM as to be the #2 drama in China for 2023 (only behind The Knockout which hit 60% market share at its peak) so if only women are watching it's a very good result.

Tencent hasn't had a top performing drama in 2023 (Iqiyi's The Knockout hit 60% ratings and will be #1 drama of 2023 barring any surprises, Youku had TTEOTM) until Lost You Forever aired and hit about 30-40% market share, it's still accumulating online views and will overtake TTEOTM & Destined to be #2 viewership in 2023. So Tencent will probably want to extend the success of LYF to 2024 and score a good result next year too even if they can air it earlier. This helps the executives and employees get bonuses and have good results to show lol
