Newest photoshoot, I love the vibes! 🤩😍💫

After Palace Stewardess, she's still strongly linked to 阿吱阿吱 with Dylan Wang (I'm shocked since his fans protested the plotline, but in 2026 C-entertainment firms are concentrating resources on fewer long dramas so if actors are highly rumored for a big project it's unlikely they'll let go of the opportunity easily since there's fewer long drama opportunities) as well as 大唐辟珠记, and recently 潮热雨季未解之谜 (Leo Wu got rumoured yesterday as the ML and I doubt they'll both do it because it's a modern mystery romance but who knows, they are former classmates and a very popular pair).

They should pair him with AiMi in a drama. People on weibo are already posting edits of a costume drama of them…
He acted with Aimi in a TV film titled 拉面王子in 2018, they played siblings and I saw a clip on Weibo where Aimi was accused of stealing and Muran took the punishment of caning on her behalf lol. I can't find the clip now but i hope it's reposted someday when they collab again.

Blood spit count for this drama is continuing to climb, not up there with TTEOTM, but still!Starting to wonder…
It's always been like this, even in the 1990s it was super common to see bloodspitting or coughing into bloody hankerchief tropes when characters were heartbroken, getting beaten/whipped, or about to say their last words because that's how acting school teaches them to emote on stage and probably goes way back in centuries of theatre to add dramatic tension even if it's unrealistic.

Even in older non xianxia dramas it was very common to see bloodspits and humans flying from roofs or jumping over walls.... Aka 飞檐走壁 as if everyone in ancient China knew parkour😄

I wish mdl just keep her Chinese name, Kong Xuer instead of Snow Kong. She has such a pretty name.
Snow is a literal translation of her Chinese name, 雪儿 means “snow child”

As a westerner i seriously dont understand. He said the picture made him look southeast asian. Is there something…
I frequent Chinese forums like Douban, Weibo, Tianya etc

"Looking Southeast Asian" is an insult they often use to call anyone tanned or with full lips, it's very pervasive such that even very good looking actors like Zhang Jingyi are nicknamed "Southeast Asian Princess 东南亚公主” or "Thai princess泰国公主” to mock the fact her fans call her Princess and make fun of her visuals which they deem Southeast Asian. Koreans do it a lot too, they use "Southeast Asian" as a derogatory insult to other Koreans who are tanned, and in China there's a worse insult "Guangxi Monkey" (this is a poorer Southern Chinese province near Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar) to describe people who are ugly i.e. tanned, thick lips, flat nose because most of China's 56 ethnic minority tribes are from Guangxi, Yunnan and they border Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar so there's been intermixing genetically which results in features like tanned skin, big eyes, double eyelids, flatter nose whereas the Northern Chinese (you gotta understand, China has always been economically and politically ruled from the North with some Eastern ports being rich but the capital is always Northern) are mixed with Mongols, Koreans, Manchus so they have stockier bodies, smaller eyes, single eyelid, fairer skin due to winter and lack of sun and discrimination against Southern Chinese has been ongoing for centuries, even 2-3000 years? There's a famous story of an emperor who once summoned a Fujian magistrate to the capital in the North to promote him for his talent at solving famines but once the Fujian magistrate spoke in court, the emperor couldn't understand his dialect and sent hum back to Fujian. That's always been the case in China hence why it's always Southern Chinese who immigrate to find a better life.

Traditionally the Northern capitals like Beijing, Xian, Luoyang never cared about the Southern Chinese much less developing their provinces and hated the fact Southern China spoke dialects like Cantonese, Hokkien, Hakka thus they treated them like bumpkins or Southeast Asians. Thus a lot of Southern Chinese immigrated to Taiwan (the Hakka and Hokkien Han people from Fujian colonised Taiwan after the fall of the Ming dynasty because they didn't want to be ruled by Manchus), USA, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Hongkong (a British colonial port) due to famines and neglect from the Northern capitals. All the Chinatowns worldwide are mostly built by Southern Chinese who left China due to the neglect, lack of respect, famines, and poor treatment. Only when Hongkong achieved wealth and success as a British colonial city did the rest of China finally look up to the South and see how much more advanced and successful the South could be (Hongkongs trickle down economics uplifted the whole of the Guangdong region to match Beijing, Shanghai in terms of wealth and prominence, even Shenzhen a town built as a satellite city to Hongkong became a super rich and futuristic megapolis) and finally started respecting Southern Chinese people in the 20th and 21st century. But for thousands of years they looked down on Southern Chinese, called them Southeast Asian, hated their dialects.... Ironically now China cares a lot about Taiwan (built by Chinese immigrants who left Fujian due to the neglect, war, famine), Hongkong (built by the British to be a financial hub), Shenzhen, Guangdong and sees them as fabulous places to live. In the past they would still be looked down upon and even now people from the nearby Southern provinces like Guangxi or Yunnan are called "Monkeys" or Southeast Asian as an insult. It's very pervasive to the point Mango TV didn't even remove Zhang Linghe's comment while editing the show, they could've edited it out but didn't 😱😱😱

Tldr: China historically was ruled from the North (all of China's capitals have been Northerly)and looked down on the South because they were darker, descended from mountain tribes, spoke dialects like Cantonese or Hokkien that Northern Chinese didn't understand, hence "Southeast Asian" is used as an insult on how backward, undeveloped Southern China was historically. China only started respecting Southern Chinese after HK became the most developed Chinese city in the 1970s-80s and Taiwan, Shenzhen, Guangdong all became rich. They still look down on Yunnan, Guangxi (both are called Southeast Asian), Guizhou, Xinjiang and other poor regions.

Zuer handed out gifts (dessert, bubble tea, braised meat riceboxes, Valentino makeup) to her fans at the wrap party of Enter the Game 😃💕 She chatted with fans and said they must've been worried during her long hiatus, and said she will work hard to film a lot of projects.

She's apparently rumoured to be collaborating with Ding Yuxi next on 司宫令 a historical drama... There's already discussions over billing order since it's supposed to be a female centric drama but he has a lot of fans 🤔

She came in 3rd in the 艺考 of Beijing Film Academy, i.e. the entrance audition exam which consists of a few…
The project was entirely made by BFA students, e.g. the dubbing, editing, scriptwriting, everything was done by students and the actors who starred in it were mostly already famous child actors/idols e.g. Leo Wu, Song Zuer, Karry Wang, Guo Junchen.

Huang Junjie had no acting experience prior to attending BFA, iirc he took the art exam 3 times and got in on his 3rd try.

I was hoping for 阿吱阿吱 to be Zuer republican drama for 2026 but it turn out to be ENTER THE GAME. I'm almost…
The new rumor is that it's still scheduled to film but was pushed back due to the problematic plot. When she took on Enter the Game I thought "yea no way she does 阿吱 since it's way too similar a setting" but.... who knows 🤔🤔🤔

Rumor updates for Zuer's next dramas in 2026

- Apparently 阿吱阿吱 is still going ahead with Dylan Wang according to an insider (IMO don't see how it's going to kickoff in Q1 if he's filming Malicious Empress, plus Zuer is already filming another Republican spy drama)

- 司宫令 (Tencent costume drama, Xu Kai was rumoured but he had a scandal so the new ML is likely someone else)

- 大唐辟珠记 Highly anticipated costume drama, the rumored ML is Li Yunrui but who knows.
