That can happen in a lot of dramas though. You Are My Glory, When I Fly Towards You also have the same kind of trope. Cdramas borrow a lot of the same common Gil chases boy or boy chases girl tropes.

The synopsis is nothing like Everyone Loves Me. Firstly the FL character seems totally different to Zhou Ye's character in ELM, not even slightly similar at all. In terms of dramas written by Zhu Yi, the male leads are also portrayed in a certain aesthetic, which Lin Yi will be a lot more here than in ELM.

Also The matter of timeline and setting - there's many years time leap in this drama whereas there wasn't in ELM. This drama starts when they are in high school and carries on years into their adult lives. ELM mainly takes place when they are in Uni and new graduates.

So like in Pursuit of Jade. He plays negative roles soo well. I just wish he was the ML in a big drama

Probably old Korean diction, but Korean mixed Japense, or full Japanese where Japanese characters are relevant. Sort of like in Mr Sunshine, where Korean was mixed with Japanese depending on the characters and context

I loved Han Se-Jin and Yu Mirae's couple so much from beginning to end - In the last episode when he found her on a busy Seoul street, because it goes back to long ago when they believed he wouldn't find her in Seoul due to every person there looking the same. The metaphorical meaning in terms of their relationship was beautiful 😭😭😭

Just WOW. I watched this a year late, and I whole heartedly regret it. This drama is officially now one of my faves. Every episode is 10/10 and hit to my core. It's so layered and deeply meaningful, it will definitely live in my mind and heart for a long time to come ❤️

So just because he wasn't busy according to your knowledge, you don't think she was busy either? She had a huge hyped drama release last year and also another drama this year.

And anyway, 'busy schedule' is the reason all actors give for break up lol. It doesn't mean it's the real reason, which we will never know

I highly doubt either of them would have kept a break up secret for like 2 years. It's much more plausible they broke up early this year/6 or 7 months ago and waited for Perfect Crown to pass and to ensure they definitely were breaking up (ie. Weren't just going through a phase). 2-3 years ago BEFORE she did WLGYT is a long time to have broken up and not been caught. Even a year ago before WLGYT released is a long time. They would have both moved on during that time.

Well the kissing and intimacy was partly why. In addition I felt he was good and believable in how he loved her all the way through. But this is entirely subjective and depends on what you think results in good chemistry.

The age gap also wasn't horrible. They were both adults, and he was in his mid 20's at the time. On screen they were only playing a 10 year age gap which they pulled off really well.

I also had a little difficulty with how it was one-sided at first even when she knew he loved her, but ultimately it did seem she loved him back especially when it goes to the present timeline.

Yeh I agree that if he wanted to love her maturely he should have stopped calling her Jiejie 😭. But maybe East Asian culture sees this differently, Jiejie could be used for any lady older than him, not specifically sister. Similarly in Korean they use Noona even if not biological older sister

From a normal standpoint his character definitely had attachment issues. He didn't want to go away from her even for University, hated seeing her with male co-workers eventhough they were her peers whilst he wasn't, and seemed like he refused to form a life outside of her in general.

The ML might have had obsessive romantic love, he loves her to an extreme because she was the first person to be nice to him ever. If this becomes yearning then sure. I agree that Daniel did it so convincingly and as if you could believe he loved her like his life depended on it

I thought he had great chemistry with Michelle Chen in Sniper Butterfly despite 19 year age difference. He totally killed it in that role and as the ML so perfectly. He can kiss and act intimately very well, even when he was in his early 20's at the time.

I thought so at first too, but then it doesn't explain why the ML is still perfectly fine with no weaknesses that we see. Someone else said the imperfections could be that they don't have immortality, they could still die. Which I think makes sense.

This makes sense - It could be that their imperfection was not having immortality, and not Pal Ho's arm or both the ladies having a disability. Similarly the FL was also physically weak but unlike the others, could not die.
I wish they addressed this in this part 1 though. It just made it a bit harder to put together because you needed the explanation in the moment of the story

Yes his character's both have the same Xie name in PoJ and Story of Kunning Palace. His character in Kunning Palace is so different though, proof he is a good actor IMO
