I usually feel the same but for this drama I think the back and forth actually worked.
I agree, I think it held more suspense this way because you want to know what happened between them that they drifted apart and only came back 6 years later. If you find out quite early episodes itself it would be easy to loose interest later on.
I started this drama with a LOT of hesitation because I thought the age gap was INSANE. I am currently watching…
to be fair their age difference in real life (19 years) does not come across on screen at all. She looks amazing and younger than 42 years old, as if she could actually be 30-35 which is her age range in the show. They are 10 years apart in the story so it's fine 🤷🏽♀️
if you could tell they were nearly 20 years apart and she looked old enough to be his mother, then yes it would be a problem.
my impression is that in china they don't see women wearing short skirts as inappropriate (if they're skinny).…
tbf we don't know if women's outfits are really like that in Chinese corporate workplaces or if their outfits are just unrealistically glamourized by the dramas. Also remember - they would usually be wearing branded things to advertise.

The FL is definitely over-reaching when she got mad at him for choosing one university over the other. I totally…
but at the same time was he deciding his University based on what's best for his future or to stay with FL? I think she was right as an older more mature person watching a younger person make a big mistake. He was very obsessed with her even when he was in school.
It's criminal that this drama is currently at 8.0 here. The way a lot of mediocre dramas sit comfortably at 8.4…
I really like it, acting and chemistry is to adore 😍 but at the same time I can see why people have a few issues with it. I'm still half way through but I feel like I'll end up giving it an 8.5 or 9. Just a few little things that bother me not to give it a 10.
I agree that the drama has some problematic tropes like Shan Shan forgiving easily and Feng Teng being quite controlling.…
I agree I found it really weird that she was just normal with the other girl after that. they just made an excuse to her saying "well all women would come for your man anyway, better learn to accept it" and she does 🙈😪
Her character was very pushy and a know-it-all. She was a good person who meant well, but I didn’t always like…
I'm binging it currently and passed that bit where he said sorry to her after the incident where he covered up for his friend who wasn't in the dorm. She leaves him all night and then doesn't pick him up from school for the weekend. I want to like her and she is likeable most the time. But it's so irresponsible for her to leave a 19 year old who is new to the city and who's education/wellbeing she is responsible for. And then HE was the one to say sorry. I felt like I must have missed something or didn't get it.
No major events, no new dramas. Almost a year without filming anything. She told us she was going to slow down.…
1 drama a year is pretty average from a lot of actors though. Not all of them do 2-3 dramas per year forever. So her next drama after City Builders might be in 2027.
i rewatched and now im not sure why i liked this drama before???? Maybe I can no longer stomach weak FLs and forgiving…
I agree that the drama has some problematic tropes like Shan Shan forgiving easily and Feng Teng being quite controlling. In today's era that would be all red flagged. But Idk why, I watched it last year and still liked it (problematic 2FL and all lol). I thought she was also harder on Feng Teng than she was on the other girl, she didn't get back with Feng Teng for a while.
I feel like 2000's would be too recent so it's good they ended it in the 90's for now. it's meant to have that…
that would be a good idea! Reply 1988 and Reply 1994 felt nostalgic and historic to me as a Gen Z adult now. But 2005 is still too recent, we need to get older 😂 as you said another decade later maybe watching a drama where people have those old flip phones and wear low rise jeans will truly feel historic lol
Looks pretty complete to me. He chose not to be included.
actually there have been videos released where he shows up, that's probably what the 'surprise' is so he's not on the official reunion poster. just like teenage Jinjoo is also returning based on teasers, but she isn't on the poster.
It is a bit of a stretch, but Healer only says like 2 sentences to her total , and he pitches his voice low, and…
also that as Bong Soo he deliberately speaks differently too. So she never associated them to be the same, atleast not until she felt that his hand felt the same as Healer's
Knowing it gets better in the second half is what's keeping me going. On Ep 13 at the moment and everything has…
so no one finds out who he is until Ep 27-28? I'm disappointed with that too, I feel like it would be more satisfying if that secret was known first, and then gradually that he had those powers and loved her. After coming from Legend of Female General, Fated Hearts, the reveal of the secrets is definitely a loottt slower.
I agree with most people that say that the second half or so was better but I still feel like there was too much…
Knowing it gets better in the second half is what's keeping me going. On Ep 13 at the moment and everything has been slow paced so far. Not surprised that the amnesia thing will last longer, but in which Ep will they know he is Prince Annan? That should definitely be the turning point in their stories
Sorry, but she suspected way before that. Ep. 7 28:30. When she raised her hand before his face, her fingers mimicked…
it also just appeared as if she thought Jin'an looked familiar, similar to the man with the mask when she put her fingers to her face. But it doesn't seem she actually strongly suspected they were the same person.

Read my comment again - I never said she didn't suspect. I said it was unbelievable she didn't come to the **conclusion** it was the same person who rescued her several times, eventhough she knew both had superior strength. She also knew both had the same blue marks in the first few episodes itself (way before Ep 7). Yet despite this she didn't fully figure it out until Ep 11, before then she had NO idea at all. Even in Ep 9-10 she still believed it was just a mysterious man in black and that Jin'an must be somewhere else back in the camp.
she did have a happy ending in this drama though? even if her grandma died, she lived a new life where she was…
i think many might see it differentpy. I thought the tone at the end was really optimistic and hopeful. But also realistic, she left her old life behind which meant moving to a new place, having a new place to stay, new friends, new appearance, etc. And after the time skip she was able to reunite with Dong-hoon and plan to meet up just like they planned during the drama.
if you could tell they were nearly 20 years apart and she looked old enough to be his mother, then yes it would be a problem.
