Title How Dare You!? Spoiler
I think just an okay drama. Not terrible, but I did take a few breaks inbetween. A good concept but maybe just my type of drama or tropes? The timeline really messed with me because it took me a long time to understand that the young boy in 'Zhang San's diary' was the ML/ our Emperor. Even when I suspected he was, they uses the *same child actor* as the son of Xiahou Dan. It also didn't help that the Queen Dowager looked exactly the same both in ML's childhood and then in the current timeline with the same child actor 15+ years later. I know they wanted to create some mystery, but it confused me rather than making me more invested in the drama.

it's because she was literally underaged when they filmed for this drama 💀no one minds an age gap but not when…
no one would care about the age gap in Western dramas because the younger person isn't a minor. Not only a kiss is indecent BTW, you can do a lot of things for the romance

Why everyone is focused on the actress age for me she's a great actress and I'm excited seeing her in this role…

no one minds an age gap but not when the actress is literally a minor teenager. Poor HMG also signed this drama before she was cast.

why the tag for real life age gap? She's 44 and he's 47, that's less than 3 years and a very normal one. I would consider it an age gap if Hye Kyo and Gong Yoo had more years inbetween them.

anyway 22 episodes 😵 this is going to be a long drama!!!

30+Personally not into it but its just my opinion. But the drama overall is really good! I watch for the plot…
to be precise - he liked her from before, so the romance angle was there for a lot longer. It's just they don't get together until Ep 30 something.

Omg third part of the HL novels? OMG it’s gonna be so good. The first two were amazing. And since LYX is in…
it's not based around the main characters in Hidden Love it's just written by the same author and sort of set in the same universe. But it really has nothing to do with HL and The First Frost, just like how WIFTY is not really connected either.

Yes that Was Stupid as Hell, She Practically blackmailed him to Leave and Broke up when it did not go her Way
I disagree with this because he would have clearly gone abroad if it wasn't for their relationship. He even looked excited at first when the professor advised it to him, and he WAS ready to go along to the US with her! This is the thing with this ML, he had an unhealthy need to always be with her at the expense of his own life opportunities. And I could see how that made FL feel suffocated because it was turning into a burden that all his 'decisions' centered around her.

it's hard to believe Tan Song Yun was in her early 30s in her drama. she was playing a 16 year old in the fast half and she really looked that age 😭

As the story goes on, Zi Qiu’s life, his behavior, and the way he thinks just break my heart. There’s always…
sad he doesn't realise he always had Dad Li but he didn't realise until years later on in the story. Li treated Ziqui as his own child, equal to Jian Jian but Ziqui had so many insecurities 😔

Title My Demon
The first couple of eps weren’t bad, but after that… It took me MONTHS to even get to ep 15. Had this drama…
I think it's one of those dramas where largely people who are new to Kdramas or new to this kind of genre find it amazing. I had the same experience as you, it felt like it took forever to finish especially the 2nd half. I have watched other Kdramas with similar themes (with demons, e.g: Doom to Your Service) and I found this drama to be majorly lacking in comparison. the first episode itself had potential but I think they bungled it badly. There was TOO much going on. ML being a demon, the past lives, the serial killer....why would you put a human serial killer in a drama for demons? It ruined it for me

it's weird I never realised all the parents had their real life names for their characters in the show - so cool 😄

She manipulated him in to going abroad, not out of selfishness, but for his future, growth, and professional success.…
I think they gave the example of her trying to explain to him before when he bad to choose his University. He chose the Uni local to them so he could still be with her, eventhough she advised him to go for a better one further away. She already knows he won't listen but will do anything to just be with her

Might be unpopular opinion, but eventhough what Cen Jin by making him leave for the US was cruel, I think it was the RIGHT decision. If it wasn't for their relationship he would have definitely gone to the US. ML was emotionally co-dependent in the past timeline, he would only think of their relationship and give up other opportunities in his life. I can totally understand FL's perspective, as this would become suffocating for her and toxic for them both.

my impression is that in china they don't see women wearing short skirts as inappropriate (if they're skinny).…
Dramas do not fully depict how lives go in their country at all, that's the point - they are fiction and the drama makers can do it how they like. I don't think women in China all go to work looking like immaculate models, neither do I think they wear what she does everywhere. Dramas show lots of things that are often silly and unrealistic, you don't need to believe every single thing is real. For example many Asian countries including China's and Korea's dramas like to have their actors sleeping in their day clothes during the night scenes. Of course it's not like people from those countries actually go to bed without pyjamas.

I usually feel the same but for this drama I think the back and forth actually worked.
I agree, I think it held more suspense this way because you want to know what happened between them that they drifted apart and only came back 6 years later. If you find out quite early episodes itself it would be easy to loose interest later on.

I started this drama with a LOT of hesitation because I thought the age gap was INSANE. I am currently watching…
to be fair their age difference in real life (19 years) does not come across on screen at all. She looks amazing and younger than 42 years old, as if she could actually be 30-35 which is her age range in the show. They are 10 years apart in the story so it's fine 🤷🏽‍♀️

if you could tell they were nearly 20 years apart and she looked old enough to be his mother, then yes it would be a problem.

tbf we don't know if women's outfits are really like that in Chinese corporate workplaces or if their outfits are just unrealistically glamourized by the dramas. Also remember - they would usually be wearing branded things to advertise.
