Yes SITR is incredible and the tone and depth of this one is similar. It's interesting that one is about oppression…
I think My Mister also includes oppression of women to some extent. I didn't think the 2 dramas to have similar themes, but now that you mention it I can't unthink it. I totally believe they do now
The rating is so high. And I tried to watch it, but hardly survived 1st episode. Please write me why I should…
I know why people might have had a hard time starting it, I did too. I think it only becomes more investing around Ep 4-5. the first 3 episodes are so hard to watch, but if you make it past that I think it's worth it. It's a psychological drama that becomes more satisfying the more you carry on watching
I really liked her in Perfect Match, I watched it a little while before LitC came out so already had an introduction to her. she and Wang Xingyue were so fine together ❤️ and it's a shame we didn't see more of them over the other sisters stories. But yeah you can tell Lu Yuxiao has variety in her roles
I read somewhere that this one has a love triangle and a few break ups for the main couple 🙃
I don't regard it as a love triangle because she only had feelings for the ML and not the other guy. If she was confused and also felt something for the other guy then it would have been a love triangle. But it was only a case of unrequited love from his end.
im SO happy this was a happy ending with no unnecessary deaths even for the side characters 😭
right!? Very rare to see from this genre. I was feeling worried for the nice supporting characters like the Princess and Yan (is that his name? the guy she loved) as well as dear Shifu. Thankfully neither did the leads die or sacrifice themselves
Honestly I can't understand the hate for this drama, this is one of my all-time favourite dramas and I think I've…
Well there's several reasons why...firstly it's too long as 20 episodes is unnecessary. Secondly the red flaggedness between the ML and 2ML. Thirdly the chemistry actually was quite bad, Park Shin Hye kissed like a fish....I admit the drama does have it's charm and good points, but 12 years later you can tell where the cringe parts are and what could have been better
actually insane how stacked this cast is like ARIANA WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE??? casting director was in their…
lol it only looks stacked now because all the young people who were supporting cast became famous after this drama. At the time they were hardly known though.
Is this drama worth watching? I couldn’t even finish the first episode. Is it set in the US or just a few episodes…
It's not going to be your top 10 drama and it will drag towards the end because there's 20 episodes, but I think it deserves 1 watch. You will cringe, roll your eyes a bunch of times and think WTH at a few points, but I think it's honestly a great example of a Kdrama from the early 2010's. It's a multi-star drama with a lot of characters, so eventhough the leads will seem boring you will likely still be invested enough to watch because of all the supporting actors (all of whom became famous after this drama so you might know them from other things too)
Only the first few episodes take place in the US. I think it's fully back in Korea in Ep 4 or so.
i’d say the vibe is a mix of hidden love and first frost , it’s fluffy but also has some angst. and instead…
TFF turned quite heavy with all the sexual harassment, I hope this is more light hearted with minimal trauma like HL. Zhu Yi and light hearted good-vibe dramas are excellent. It was proven with When I Fly Towards You
Actually disgusted that casting and production would pair a 17 year old minor with a man over 10 years her age.…
this is also what I'm trying to figure out. it makes no sense to cast a minor as FL when the ML is over 10 years older than her. Not the only time this is happening to her either, she is also casted in a drama with Lin Yi who is a decade older than her in another romance drama named Achan. Why the push to cast this 17 year old girl? She's a good actress but this means she needs to be in high school dramas with a boy her age. She was only 16 not too long ago 🙁
I think the heart imprint only triggers when they are emotional overwhelmed , not physical pain. That’s why…
I think this to be the case too. Ming Yi goes through phases of weakness due to the Heavenly Grief but it didn't affect Ji Bozai during those times. Otherwise he would have suspected something straight away. It seems different dramas handle this differently. Another drama like Love Between Fairy and Devil is the same genre and also includes a heart imprint, but there it's physical as well as emotional. in LITC it was also both ways, but in LBFAD it only affected the ML.
Situ Ling is starting to get on my nerves. He's giving me serious incel vibes.
are incels are theme for this year? I don't know who was more annoying and creepy, Situ Ling or the guy in Legend of Female General. I swear these characters who's only role is to be a creepy harrasser of the FL is so old and a huge turn off. I loved this drama despite that.
One question. Why can’t she just tell Ji Bo Zi that she was dying???!!!! 😩😩😩😩 Like dude is smitten…
It stems from confused feelings and beliefs from both sides. Ji Bozai already has the perceived notion that people only want to get close to him for the Golden Millet Dream, and Ming Yi probably doesn't believe he actually came to love her that much. Also after a certain point she starts feeling guilt about using him to get the cure for herself, an early sign she had also fell in love with him. That's why she tells Situ Ling to find another way to make the Golden Millet Dream.
When Ji Bozai finally gives it to her in secret, it's because he truly loves her and only gave it to her secretly because he doesn't want her to be in debt to him. That's why that scene is so poignant, it wouldn't have been the same for their relationship if she asked for it.
Thank you! I was trying so hard to remember where I saw him, and in the end I figured out that I’ve never seen…
I have only seen him in minor roles like in Reply 1988 and Suspicious Partner. But I completely forgot about him, yet he still looks familiar in an odd way. I agree it might be the Cheng Lei resemblance, he looks more like CL in this profile pic than normally though.
Finally, I’m so happy for them! Hopefully we’ll get their wedding pics, but they’re really private so they…
You never know, they might share a few pics to mark the start of their married life even if they remain private overall. Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin showed off their wedding photoshoot when they got married, but since then they never share pics of them as a couple just normally (Hyun Bin isn't even on social media!) and they're very private about their marriage and child.
Of course it's their choice, but I would be so happy if they post even 1 pic of their wedding next month. Because it's unlikely we will see them as a couple in their private time. I love it when 2 famous stars get married, after this I'm rooting for IU and Lee Jong Suk 🥺
