So true about him being the fictional man who defies all real life men. He is the ML to defy this the most amongst all her ML's. Even Duan Jiaxu and Rang Rang do not go this far, eventhough both are still green flagged. We'll see about the new upcoming drama When I Meet The Moon too.

I always wonder do these type of ML's really have no emotional needs of their own? Like he does everything for her and to get her to open up, but he was so perfect she literally didn't need to do anything for him.

He is flawed in my opinion and that is when he literally stalks her for nearly 6 years. If any woman filed a report about some guy from her past following her around, and handing the CCTV of him finding her outside her workplace to the police, he would be charged real quick with stalking and harassment. Even China has some lengthy anti-stalking laws and you can apply for a restraining order.

This is only romanticised onscreen because it's Sang Yan and people deem him a green forest for yearning this hard. This type of 'yearning' could potentially get someone charged for a CRIME. I think everything else he did for her was really good and loving, only this one huge aspect was really wrong for me. Especially after rewatching. How much different was it to her Uncle stalking her? She could have ended up hating Sang Yan's presence as much as she did her Uncle.

Personally don't understand why so many are rating when there are only 4 episodes out (I looked on Viki)

Like a 168 ratings already, out of 4 episodes has to be silly for a Cdrama. It's barely even started in Cdrama terms

Same I also think it would have worked out more if it was longer (both the number of episodes and length). Maybe 12 full length episodes. The thing is we never got to see them date or be in love either. Apart from 5 minutes at the end of the last episode, such wasted potential

I'm glad there were only 10 short episodes because I was really disinterested in the overall plot line. It didn't even really have anything to do with the main leads until about Episode 8.

If there were more episodes which were also longer, I feel like it would have worked in helping it to make it more fleshed out, especially to give the leads more time to date 🫠

Only one to be asking all the right questions lol. And people are here asking where the chemistry is... But how can a 16 year old create onscreen chemistry? I'm in my mid 20's and would also feel weird watching that, 16 Yr old feels like such a baby 😭

They could have hired someone ML's age don't know why they didn't.

At what point does the story move to their romance? A lot of workplace Cdramas do this, typically spending SO Much time on whatever industry it is before they even forward the leads love story

FL is forced to keep emotionally neglecting and hurting him because of her own issues. Eventually she still does it for the big grand break up, eventhough she has no good reason for it by then. Plenty of angst, a loyal ML who still loves her despite everything. If you like this kind of drama then you might like this.

The ML here is the Uncle of the Fu Zheng Chu who used to like Sang Zhi in College.

But other than that no strong connection. They are just set in the same universe, ML was only a year below Sang Yan and Wen Yifan in the same school.

It's only very brief - it's set in the same universe as the ML is the Uncle of a boy who used to like Sang Zhi.

But you will likely never see any characters from Hidden Love or The First Frost at all, unless the director chooses to make a deliberate connection to the other dramas. You can still watch all the dramas individually and not as a series/spin-off or anything.

Yet somehow MDL never does this for Korean actors, for example K-actor Ahn Hyo Seop (Canadian) has an English name, Paul. But he is still known by his ethnic name on MDL. It feels like they largely do this English name thing for C-actors and actresses here.

Everyone would be fans and drama watchers on MDL, so I don't think anyone would mind calling them by their ethnic names, or atleast their ethnic stage names like Cheng Lei.

Does anyone elsr find it distracting that it lists him as Ryan here when he is literally always known as Cheng Lei? I have never seen him referred as Ryan outside of here. Some actors are primarily known by their English name (Esther Yu) but it doesn't seem like Cheng Lei is one of them 😬😐

SAME they were so good together. My favourite couple even more than the main leads 😭

I didn't get the importance of this 2 years ago when I watched it, not just about a disability friendly workplace but also how her disability affected her being able to have a relationship. She just had to time travel and find some new legs to be in a relationship with Sunjae. This is not an all-inclusive drama. You're right, the difference to Twinkling Watermelon is huge (where they incorporate sign language and the FL could still be in a relationship despite being deaf)

I finished it. I loved it until Epiosde 34, but 35-40 weren't really that great. Only the last 5 minutes of Ep 40 was an emotional full circle. But otherwise I think this drama could have made some changes to the end and been a 9.0 or even 9.5 drama. For what we got though I think 8.5 is most accurate.

However still Bai Lu's best drama for me. This has to be her career best.

Agreed I like how their love isn't a pure romance thing. She heals him, and he heals her. They both go through hurdles to help each other out of love.

That scene where she cries in complete devastation in her own makeshift grave, I was also sobbing with her 😢

This is by far my favourite drama from Bai Lu. She had already been great, but when I came onto Ep 34 I decided she is now simply outstanding 😭
