You understood it wrong and also entirely of your own imagination. You also seemed to miss the point that people can perceive you wrongly for being violent too, even if you only do so to someone in return. That you then equated this out of nowhere to Dylan being cyber bullied is just WILD in this context. And utterly bizzare as I said previously. You're one of those Stans who came at me just because you disagree with me, as I first said I hoped would not happen in my very first comment way above here.

I might try to make an effort to read your comments fully if they were not just full of your own imaginings, false accusations and out of context comparisons. And as I said about 3 replies before, we are on different principles anyway.

Again, no where did I say that at all and you can't even prove it because I never did so. You have imagined the "Victim blaming" towards him entirely. Disagreeing with you doesn't mean I'm victim blaming/bullying him. Even some of the stuff you've said is just so bizzare - like you have said I think he DESERVES to be cyber bullied? Like WTF? Please do not put words in my mouth 🫠🫠🫠... what are the bets now that you will also divert attention from this?

The police report and physical violence - it was directly to do with your previous comment where you said if someone punched you the victim would be right to retaliate. Which isn't the same as this situation at all. I mentioned that you brought in a completely unequal example of physical violence into what is just a petty public argument between Dylan and SY.

"Dylan was clearly very hurt and wouldn't have been close with her regardless" - you have forgotten the very obvious fact that he was fine with it for months. If you read his post you would know he explicitly said he didn't find a problem with it until fans/netizens were analysing it and then he also had a problem with it. That was just what me and someone else were talking about above.

"Why is it so necessary that these two people satisfy CP fans?" it has nothing to do with CP fans and not sure why they are brought up here 😐. Dylan and SY are co-stars in the same industry. The whole industry collaborate together, and so many are on reality shows and TV shows together. It's not just dramas that they work together on. It's sad that they won't appear together or even amongst a group like their many other co-stars. Life goes on and so do careers outside all of this stuff.

Where in my comment did it include physical violence? It would be a police report then and not just a petty argument. So yes, you did take it entirely out of context and used "Victim blaming." No one is victim blaming Dylan here.

I don't need your pity thanks. I have approached situations with adult maturity because I have also been considerate of other people's feelings. I have recognised it's also not just about myself, and I have managed to remain on okay terms with those people when needed too. It's a shame Dylan hasn't been able to do the same, and from now on it's unlikely we'll see him and SY on close terms when this could have all been avoided if maybe he messaged her privately.

Your first para - that's not what I said at all and you took it entirely out of context. "Victim blaming?" Really? Please 😬

I HAVE experienced being verbally abused and verbally humiliated publically. I did not call another person out in front of dozens of other people but rather addressed it privately. If you want to punch someone or verbally abuse them back then that's on you - and you can't blame others for how you will be perceived for doing so. Being the mature adult is what's more important here. I do not go around making social media posts because I'm upset with someone, and it comes across quite petty to do so.

Sure, we have different principles so just leave it at that.

Because always it's the person's reaction that is criticised. A lot of times annoying or bad things happen publicly, but it's more the person reacting to it that is looked upon. No one has forced them to act as such, they willingly do so.

He explicitly says in his post that he was fueled by his fans/netizens analysing everything and telling him to be offended. Yes I agree that the public reaction is ridiculous and over the top, but they did not force HIM to go and write a public Weibo post. He sided with them instead of pushing back against them. It's ironic because in the past SY fans also disliked how he behaved with her at times and criticised him for it, but she would publicly defend him. If she was upset about anything we don't know because she didn't create any fuss publicly. Whereas when his fans go against her he sided with them, and publicly calls her out instead of doing what she did.

I'm just putting this kindly - but none of that justifies him making a public post at all. Anything that goes on publicly, arguments, insults, jokes, etc, *does not need* to be fueled even further by public posts like this. If you felt hurt by someone that was a friend, would you privately message them about it OR call them out on social media and in a large group chat where dozens of other people also are? Would you like it if someone embarrassed you by doing that to you? It's no different for celebrities, infact it's even worse because of their celebrity fame means everyone is looking at it.

I also said in my first sentence itself (above) that it's not about him being unable to take a joke. Whatever went on he is justified to have his own feelings and everything, but making a social media post just comes off as being a bad friend. As I also said above, it's how it makes him look publicly too. Other people who work with him will be aware of this and maybe change their behaviour towards him if they think he will become upset.

I promise it does get better as it goes along. It's a nice, mature romance.

From what I've seen much of the criticism is not about being unable to take a joke, but that he made a very PUBLIC Weibo post about it, which forced SY to then also apologise in a public manner. Such things should be done privately, especially when they are celebrities. It just seems so humiliating for the person being called out in front of everyone - in this case SY in front of the world. Dylan effectively kissed goodbye to any future collaborations with a long term friend and colleague, which is disappointing for their fans too.

None of this is to "bully" him before his Stans come at me. From a PR standpoint it just makes him look less approachable on friendly/jokey terms. He did not need to do this at all but went out of his way to do so.

Remember quitting this by Ep 4, it felt really slow. I was hoping for something comforting (Our Beloved Summer, Because This is My First Life) but it still bored me and I knew it was going to turn really sad which was not what I wanted 😣

June 16? Can't wait. All my anticipated dramas are airing in June omg
For real, at this rate I think I'll still be watching some into August 💀 and then not be able to catch up on dramas that release at that time haha. A never ending cycle.

Proof that MDL ratings are not accurate or reliable. Can't believe it has the exact same rating as Reply 1988.
You missed the entire point and half of what you said is just putting words in my mouth - words I never said in the first place. Don't refuse to understand others comments and then act all offended. Yeah bye anyway 🫠

I'm glad it's 40 episodes. Like 40hrs of Bai Lu. I'll be entertained all month. No worries 🙂‍↕️
Not just her but also 40 hours of him! It's his longest drama yet in the part of a main role. So excited for them both individually and also together 😭

I said it depends on genres as certain ones are *more likely* to get higher ratings than others. Obviously it depends what majority of MDL users watch and rate. I never ever said romcoms can't/shouldn't get higher ratings.

BTW you are the one who replied to me in a comment where I wasn't even being critical. I was only critical in my first original comment, if you felt I had to move on you didn't need to start a discussion either. It's a public forum, people can also comment where they like instead of dictating others 👀

That might have indeed been the case! I can see it being more likely than she herself breaking into the hospital which is the idea most seemed to imagine. It's this thing of leaving it up to viewers imagination which I don't like about this drama. We should have known everything she did THROUGHOUT - the only mystery should have been "who is Sarah Kim?" at the end of the last episode. That they also had a dozen plot holes inbetween makes it weaker.

Yeah what you said in the first part never made sense in the drama. She would have met so many people when she worked as Sarah Kim and they never get anyone to confirm it really is her. Like there's not only 2 people on earth lol. Also never explained how she just ended up with so much cash and they couldn't trace her.

As for the kidney - that might actually make sense because you can't prove an organ came from your body just because of a scar. It could be anyone's kidney and she could have the scar for several reasons apart from organ donation. The only way to prove it was to test her DNA with the tissue from the kidney, but again she had that destroyed. Except they never showed how or when she did that? It's true this drama had good concept but had plenty of holes.

Is there any hetero romance here? I really am not in the mood for heteros so I'd appreciate a heads up please…
There is no romance in this drama. The FL has a sexual relationship with a man at one point, but there's nothing romantic and I can promise you that. It's also very short for a Kdrama so they understandably couldn't have fit in any romance plot.

I gave my opinion, which I can rightly do 💁. Firstly I never said a romcom can't have an excellent rating - infact I like many romcoms and have rated them great. I also never said the ratings was bot behaviours either, infact didn't even think of that.

Haven't you ever watched any wildly popular dramas that you thought was pretty Nah/generally bad in most aspects? For example you would also understand that it seemed puzzling why a drama that had bad acting or plot (in your opinion) was rated so highly.
